Honduran mother is poster child for asylum fraudsters at southern border

Every one of you who tweets or has a facebook page, a website, or an e-mail list must get this news out to everyone before that shameful Time Magazine cover becomes the definition of Trump’s policy at the border.
This really steams me!

Trump Time crying baby
Ultimate FAKE News!

First, the little crying girl was NOT separated from her mother.
The mother paid a smuggler $6,000 to get her to Texas. Where did she get that kind of money?
The mother left behind a husband (who has a good job and wants her back!) and three other YOUNG children.
The mother left Honduras without saying goodbye or informing her husband that she was taking the baby on a dangerous journey.

Forget the poster baby!

The mother is a poster child for asylum fraudsters as she has no reason to request political asylum.

Ship them both back to Honduras and send a message far and wide.

From the Daily Mail:

The father of the Honduran girl who became the face of the family separation crisis has revealed that he still has not been in touch with his wife or daughter but was happy to learn they are safe.

Husband:  I asked her, why? Why would she want to put our little girl through that?

Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, 32, said that he had not heard from his wife Sandra, 32, who was with his two-year-old daughter Yanela Denise, for nearly three weeks until he saw the image of them being apprehended in Texas.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Hernandez, who lives in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, says that he was told yesterday that his wife and child are being detained at a family residential center in Texas but are together and are doing ‘fine.’
[….]

He revealed that his wife had previously mentioned her wish to go to the United States for a ‘better future’ but did not tell him nor any of their family members that she was planning to make the trek.

‘I didn’t support it. I asked her, why? Why would she want to put our little girl through that? But it was her decision at the end of the day.’

He said that Sandra had always wanted to experience ‘the American dream’ and hoped to find a good job in the States.

Denis, who works as a captain at a port on the coast of Puerto Cortes, explained that things back home were fine but not great, and that his wife was seeking political asylum.

Asylum from what?

So much for the children, this woman left behind two other young daughters and a son.  Send her back!

He said that Sandra set out on the 1,800-mile journey with the baby girl on June 3, at 6am, and he has not heard from her since.

‘I never got the chance to say goodbye to my daughter and now all I can do is wait’, he said, adding that he hopes they are either granted political asylum or are sent back home.

[….]

Denis said that he believes the journey across the border is only worth it to some degree, and admits that it’s not something he would ever consider.

He said he heard from friends that his wife paid $6,000 for a coyote – a term for someone who smuggles people across the border.

[….]

I wouldn’t risk my life for it. It’s hard to find a good job here and that’s why many people choose to leave. But I thank God that I have a good job here. And I would never risk my life making that journey.’

More here and more photos at the Daily Mail.  The photos reveal that this woman is in no way in danger of anything!

Updates: Italy refuses another migrant ship; Germany's Merkel less popular, but holding on

The migrants “will only see Italy on a postcard.”

(Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini)

While many of us are fixated on our own migrant invasion at the border, Europe is in a tizzy as Italy refuses a docking request from a second migrant ferry (aka rescue boat) from Libya.

Minnesota growth in diversity outpacing US as a whole

Not a huge shock for most followers of Refugee Resettlement Watch, but good to see that the citizens of Minnesota are being given the hard facts so that they can decide what will be best for their families going forward.

Somalis in Minneapolis

From Twin Cities Pioneer Press:

Minnesota continues to grow more diverse, according to population estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Thursday.

The latest data showed that populations of people of color have increased faster in Minnesota than the rest of the nation since 2010. Meanwhile, the state’s white population growth remained relatively stagnant.

Minnesota diversity graph

The change can be seen in the ethnic communities emerging around St. Paul; in the expansion of organizations such as the Karen Organization of Minnesota and the Hmong American Partnership; and in St. Paul Public Schools, where in 2010 district families spoke 77 different languages at home — that stood at 128 languages in 2017.

Janna Johnson, an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs who studies minority populations, said the latest numbers likely don’t tell the entire story. Minority populations tend to be undercounted, meaning Minnesota’s is likely even larger, she said. [Why? Because minorities don’t answer census questions or simply hide.—-ed]

No need to learn English, just go to Minnesota and keep speaking Somali!

Mohamad SheikOmer, who started the Somali-Oromo Peace Task Force in St. Paul, has noticed the uptick in diversity since he moved to Minnesota. SheikOmer, who has a wife and seven children, moved from Ethiopia to Maryland in April 2014, then St. Paul three months later.

He relocated his family to Minnesota because there are more opportunities, noting for example it’s much easier to find people who speak Somali in St. Paul than in Maryland.

“We can help each other at work, how to get benefits, how to get schooling,” SheikOmer said.

More here.
“Benefits” is, of course, a big reason refugees are migrating to Minnesota and a good reason Minnesota was chosen as a prime resettlement site more than thirty years ago by the US State Department and its contractors (Catholic Charities, Lutheran Immigration, and World Relief) for Somali resettlement.
Just a few days ago I told readers how many Somalis have been resettled in the US under the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program since the early 1980’s, here.
Don’t miss this postYou are old and we are taking over!

US has greatest number of asylum claims of any country in world, far surpassing Germany!

I’ve been warning that the US must not become Germany, but this morning I see that we are there already!

Merkel and Trump
Dear Donald: Follow Angela Merkel’s lead on asylum seekers at your great peril!

Before I give you the latest news about the numbers, you need to know that asylum is just another side of the refugee coin.
The only difference is that, in the case of refugees we admit through the US Refugee Admissions Program, we screen them (supposedly), pick them up abroad, and fly them to the US.
In the case of asylum seekers, they get to the US on their own initiative and then ask for asylum and that is what is happening at the southern border this very minute—-tens of thousands claiming they are entitled to asylum.
(For those who are scratching your heads and asking why we aren’t just loading them up and sending them back across the border, if they claim asylum (as per the 1951 UN Convention on the Status of Refugees), we must hear their claims.  They are all being trained by Leftist handlers to ask for asylum.)

Judicial Watch sues Department of State for failure to respond to FOIA request on Obama secret selection of new resettlement sites

Long time readers will remember that for a couple of years we were on a hunt to reveal the forty plus new resettlement sites the US State Department was quietly targeting for placement of the huge flow of refugees they expected in the waning years of the Obama Administration (and planning ahead for the Hillary years to come!).

New site development guide
Obama State Department’s guide for community organizers to teach them how to set up new resettlement sites in their unsuspecting communities. I only discovered it by chance.   https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2017/12/03/arrogant-church-world-service-closes-doors-in-poughkeepsie/

We were able to identify some sites in various stages of planning just because local newspapers reported that their town was being chosen (or might be chosen), but there was never any official release of information from the DOS.
Thus, Judicial Watch went to work to try to uncover the list and the criteria being used to select new sites.
In December 2016 this is a list I had put together from various news reports:

Below are new sites we have identified so far of the supposed 47 the Obama Administration is (or has been) trying to get established.

One of the first things the Trump Administration must do is to make all of this information public information.  Here are some of the sites we have identified so far by just keeping an eye on local news reports in 2015 and 2016:
