Columbus, Ohio: Refugee Gang-Raped in Low-Income Neighborhood

Big surprise, Not!  How many times over the years have I posted on violence against refugees who were placed in bad neighborhoods and substandard housing by the ‘religious charities’ that the US State Department hired to take care of them.

The ‘charities’ will claim in their defense that they don’t have the money to place refugees in better housing which begs the question:

Then why are you advocating for more refugees to be brought to America if you can’t take care of them?

Just the other day I told you about Church World Service‘s subcontractor in Columbus looking for more refugees to be brought to Columbus:

HIAS Tells Supporters—Pressure Biden to Stick to Promise—125,000 Refugees THIS Year

And, I see from the map I published yesterday that the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society has an office in Columbus:

During Trump’s Presidency Many Refugee Agency Affiliates Closed

So either the subcontractor working for Church World Service or the one working for HIAS is responsible for the unhappy Bhutanese refugees’ living conditions!

See HIAS bragging about its work in “welcoming” Columbus!

If you were to challenge them on their responsibility, they would likely say they aren’t responsible after the refugees have been here three months—an outrage in itself—because they are only paid to take care of them (their “clients”) for three months!

The Bhutanese are mostly Hindu and Buddhists and a small percentage are Christians. Peaceful people who you can imagine are targeted by a certain element of city dwellers. Hint! they are not terrorized by white nationalists!  But, the diversity-promoting resettlement agencies apparently figure they can just mix minorities together in ‘melting-pot’ America and everyone will live in multi-cultural Nirvana..

Thanks to a reader for sending me this from The CW Columbus:

After reported rape, refugees say living conditions at Columbus apartment are unsafe

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — After fleeing horrors in their native countries, some refugees in Columbus said their American Dream is turning into a nightmare, in part because of where they live.

Advocates for the Bhutanese/Nepali community said a report of a gang rape at an apartment complex on the northeast side highlights the problems in the neighborhood.

Yolanda Board, with the North Community Counseling Center, serves refugees. Earlier this month, she had to assist a woman who told police she was gang-raped at the apartments.

“This client was barged in on by four individuals, four men, and was subsequently raped and robbed,” Board said.

Board said conditions at the complex, The Commons at Victoria Village, are unsafe and the rape claim is highlighting that.

“We’re aware of years, in excess of a decade of incidents of outright negligence,” she said.

Her group claims there are health and safety issues, including rodents and a lack of proper locks on doors to common areas and apartments.

“Anybody walking off the street can just walk in there, sleep in the hallway, or do whatever,” Board said.

By the way, one subject that has never been fully explored is the connection some federal resettlement contractors have with questionable landlords.

Don’t miss this from the Bhutanese community of Democrat-run Columbus:

NEWS RELEASE                                   JANUARY 26, 2021

BHUTANESE-AMERICAN COMMUNITY CALLS FOR ACTION
TO COMBAT RISING VIOLENT CRIME
AND DEPLORABLE HOUSING CONDITIONS

During Trump’s Presidency Many Refugee Agency Affiliates Closed

I don’t know exactly how many, but I have heard that around 100 offices closed.

The nine contractors*** call them affiliates, but you could also call them subcontractors (I do).  I suspect they don’t like the later word because it then appears that there are lots of bucks moving around, and there are!

As the Obama Administration was ending we had reported that efforts were underway by the US State Department to add as many as 40 new locations for the placement of refugees since the contractors were wearing out their welcome as they overloaded towns and cities with poverty.

Here is a map from the Refugee Processing Center showing where refugees were being placed in 2016.  I know it is hard to read but you can see it enlarged either at the link above at RPC, or use the link under each map.

See that the nine contractors are color-coded and listed in the right hand corner, and note that more than one contractor can have local offices in cities especially eager for more diversity and for more needy people to care for.

We can only assume those cities have run out of their own poor people!

Now here is a map of the locations for refugee resettlement at the time Biden was installed in the White House.

https://www.wrapsnet.org/documents/2290-PRM-FY20-Affiliate-Sites-Large.pdf

You can expect to see a re-opening of some of those offices closed during the Trump years, and pay close attention to local efforts, often by those “Interfaith” political organizations, agitating for new offices.

Frankly, the only way forward now is to work at the local/state level for most of your political activity.

Americans Last!

***For New Readers these are the nine federal refugee contractors who worked to put Biden and Harris in the White House and are lobbying for millions of illegal aliens to be transformed into legal voting citizens, as well as raising the refugee admissions ceiling from 15,000 this year to 125,000.

They are largely paid by you, the taxpayer, for their work of changing America by changing the people, and in so doing, are putting Americans last!

Biden Admin Halts Special Refugee Program for Iraqis Due to Fraud Bust

“It is important to hold accountable those who would seek to defraud such programs, particularly when the crimes compromise our national security and public safety, when they impose such high costs on taxpayers…”

(Michael R. Sherwin, acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia)

Yes, you heard that right.  The Special Immigrant Visa Program for Iraqis (and their family members) who have supposedly helped us in Iraq was suspended as a result of that fraud bust we reported a few days ago.  I had missed this part of the story.

For inquiring minds, I have written many posts over the year about Iraqi Special Immigrant Visas.

From the Washington Times:

Feds stop special Iraqi refugee program after troubling DHS security breach

The State Department announced an emergency 90-day halt on admitting refugees from Iraq who helped the U.S. war effort after authorities revealed Friday that the program had been breached in a brazen conspiracy to steal refugees’ files.

Michael Sherwin

Acting Secretary of State Daniel B. Smith said they need to study the Iraqi program’s “vulnerabilities,” but insisted the broader refugee program is still safe.

His announcement came just hours after federal prosecutors unsealed an indictment charging three people, including two Homeland Security employees accused of selling secret files on refugee applicants.

Prosecutors said the secret information, including applicants’ employment records, security checks, military history and their very personal accounts of persecution, were all able to be breached by the employees.

More here.

Just so you know, more Afghans are admitted in this special program that came into existence as a hidden rider by Senator Ted Kennedy to a Defense authorization bill.  The program did not go through regular order in Congress.

The three-year-old chart below does not show that tens of thousands more dependents came along with the SIV applicant.

Military Coup in Burma Could Send Another Flood of Rohingya Muslims to the West

A military coup in Burma (aka Myanmar) set off warning bells for me.  I have been following the situation there for over a decade because of the conflict between Burmese Buddhist monks and the Rohingya Muslim population.

Basically the people of Burma want to remain a Buddhist country and the ‘humanitarians’ of the West have been pushing for them to accept the joys of diversity.

Further destabilization of the country will mean that the cry will go up that the West must save more of the Rohingya Muslims.

See my extensive Rohingya Reports file where 244 previous posts are archived.

Now the military has taken over because of what they claim is massive ELECTION FRAUD.

I’m not in any position to make a judgement except that I have written often about Aung San Suu Kyi who was once the darling of the international Left, but fell out of favor with them and suffered horrific attacks by the so-called peace-and-love crowd because she obviously feared Islamic supremacism taking root in Burma.

My purpose in posting this news is to alert you all to the events that will result in further demands that the West must resettle the Rohingya Muslims because Buddhists are bad.

Unrest in the world = calls for more refugees to be brought to America!

Here is Reuters where I have rearranged a couple of paragraphs.

Myanmar military seizes power, detains elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi

(Reuters) – Myanmar’s military seized power on Monday in a coup against the democratically elected government of Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, who was detained along with other leaders of her National League for Democracy (NLD) party in early morning raids.

The army said it had carried out the detentions in response to “election fraud”, handing power to military chief Min Aung Hlaing and imposing a state of emergency for one year, according to a statement on a military-owned television station.

[….]

A verified Facebook page for Suu Kyi’s party published comments it said had been written in anticipation of a coup and which quoted her as saying people should protest against the military takeover.

The international Left had turned its back on Suu Kyi:

Nobel Peace Prize winner Suu Kyi, 75, came to power after a 2015 election win that followed decades of house arrest and struggle against the military, which seized power in a 1962 coup and stamped out all dissent for decades.

While still hugely popular at home, her international reputation was damaged after she failed to stop the forced expulsion of hundreds of thousands of ethnic Rohingya Muslims in 2017.

The coup derails years of Western-backed efforts to establish democracy in Myanmar, also known as Burma, where neighbouring China also has a powerful influence.

[….]

Hillary loved her too. These pics make me laugh because the Left later turned on Suu Kyi and was vicious when she worried about Burma’s Muslims gaining power.

Phone and internet connections in the capital, Naypyitaw, and the main commercial centre of Yangon were disrupted and state television went off air after the NLD leaders were detained.

[….]

Troops and riot police stood by in Yangon where residents rushed to markets to stock up on supplies and others lined up at ATMs to withdraw cash. Banks subsequently suspended services due to poor internet connections.

John Sifton https://www.carnegiecouncil.org/people/john-sifton

Condemnation of the coup came from Australia, Britain, the European Union, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States. China called on all sides to respect the constitution and uphold stability.

Biden’s response was “disappointingly weak.”

Human Rights Watch’s Asia advocacy director John Sifton, criticised the initial White House response as “disappointingly weak” and urged a more concerted international reaction “to put the Myanmar military on notice of the specific consequences that will occur if their coup is not reversed”.

So what exactly does Sifton want—a Biden war in Burma?

Sanctions will only hurt the poor people further.

Endnote:  Readers need to know that we have been resettling Rohingya for many years, even during the Trump administration (there was no Muslim ban!).  However, when I first began writing about the Rohingya back in around 2007-2008, our State Department had them on a list of potential Islamic terrorists and we did not admit them as refugees.
