Australia: Refugee lawlessness grows in Melbourne

Be sure to check out the 2005 Cronulla riots, here, before reading this story from the Sydney Morning Herald today:

THE social unrest experienced during the Cronulla riots could be replicated in Melbourne suburbs due to high levels of crime among Sudanese and Somali born residents, police have warned.

Sudanese and Somali born Victorians are about five times more likely to commit crimes, official figures show, with assault and robbery the most common offences, illustrating a trend of increasingly violent robberies by disaffected African youths.

”We’ve got to fix this now and make sure it doesn’t continue, so the kids who are now 10 years old aren’t in this offender bracket in five years’ time. So we don’t get the Cronullas happening,” the Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner, Tim Cartwright, said. ”[At Cronulla] you had a big chunk of the community disengaged and coming to a point where you have large-scale civil unrest. That’s abhorrent to us, to think we would have that.

Panic in India as illegal alien Muslims push into Assam and locals fight back

India’s Prime Minister:  “What is at stake is the unity and integrity of our country.”

We told you in a brief post just three weeks ago (here) that Rohingya (Bengali Muslims) were increasing pressure on the Assam region of India resulting in violence and spreading panic.   As a result of the aggression, hundreds of thousands of refugees have been created literally within a few days.

From the New York Times (that incidentally doesn’t use the word “Rohingya”).   Could it be that they have invested in the western media meme that the Rohingya are just poor, suffering, stateless and victimized Muslims?  No doubt, some are, but others are trained Islamists who understand how to create fear and chaos.

BRAJAKHAL, India — Like a fever, fear has spread across India this week, from big cities like Bangalore to smaller places like Mysore, a contagion fueling a message: Run. Head home. Flee. And that is what thousands of migrants from the country’s distant northeastern states are doing, jamming into train stations in an exodus challenging the Indian ideals of tolerance and diversity.

What began as an isolated communal conflict here in the remote state of Assam, a vicious if obscure fight over land and power between Muslims and the indigenous Bodo tribe, has unexpectedly set off widespread panic among northeastern migrants who had moved to more prosperous cities for a piece of India’s rising affluence.

A swirl of unfounded rumors, spread by text messages and social media, had warned of attacks by Muslims against northeastern migrants, prompting the panic and the exodus. Indian leaders, deeply alarmed, have pleaded for calm, and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appeared in Parliament on Friday to denounce the rumor mongering and offer reassurance to northeastern migrants.

“What is at stake is the unity and integrity of our country,” Mr. Singh said. “What is at stake is communal harmony.”

300,000 people have become refugees!

Last week, the central government started moving to stabilize Assam, where at least 78 people have been killed and more than 300,000 have fled their homes for refugee camps. Then Muslims staged a large, angry protest in Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, on the western coast. A wave of fear began sweeping through the migrant communities after several people from the northeast were beaten up in Pune, a city not far from Mumbai.

The local Bodo people (mostly Hindu and Christian), an indigenous ethnic group that has long inhabited this region of India, is fighting to keep Muslims from over-running the territory.

Here in Assam, the underlying frictions are over the control of land, immigration pressures and the fight for political power. The savagery and starkness of the violence have been startling. Of the 78 people killed, some were butchered. More than 14,000 homes have been burned. That 300,000 people are in refugee camps is remarkable; had so many people fled across sub-Saharan Africa to escape ethnic persecution, a humanitarian crisis almost certainly would have been declared.

“If we go back and they attack us again, who will save us?” asked Subla Mushary, 35, who is now living with her two teenage daughters at a camp for Bodos. “I have visited my home. There is nothing left.”

Bengali Muslims ruthless against Hindu refugees

Although they don’t use the word ‘Rohingya,’ the “Bengali Muslims” raping Hindu women in a refugee camp in Burma (Myanmar) must be Rohingya.

From Rakhapura Media Group (hat tip: Janet):

Khine Myo Min: Myanmar government authority in Sittwe evacuated ninety eight Hindu refugees from Bengali Muslim dominated refugee camps to downtown Sittwe on Wednesday.

98 people from 18 Hindu families were moved from their current shelter of Thae Chaung and Thak Kay Pron camps to Sittwe city due to increased threats by Bengali Muslim extremists after many reported rapes and attempted rapes and tortures committed by the Bengali Muslims who are majority in the camp.

The transfer was carried out by two military trucks and the Hindu refugees are now living in a Hindu temple located on Mongbagree road.

An officer from Sittwe police station No (1) who do not wish to disclose his identity told RMG that 6 Hindu women including four teenage girls and two house wives were raped by Bengali Muslims during their stay in Thae Chaung camp. “We had to live in a cow butchery. They tried to feed us beef and theaten us with death if we don’t convert to Islam. Our kids had to stay inside for 24 hours to avoid beating and other kind of harassment by the Bengali Muslims. The most horrible thing is that our women are being raped one after another and those Bengali Muslim rapists became more daring when the authority did not take any actions. We have to keep guards for days and nights for the safety of our people there. Those periods are really bad in our life.”, a Hindu man shared about his experience in Thae Chaung camp.

Let me know when you see a story about this in the western mainstream media!  But, I won’t be holding my breath!

Switzerland taking Malta’s illegal aliens now too

….but didn’t let the public know for months!

Longtime readers know that we have followed the story of poor Malta, an island nation in the Mediterranean Sea, that has become the target of human traffickers with their African cargo for years.   The problems for Malta were exacerbated during the Bush Administration when the US State Department began transforming illegal aliens, especially Somalis, into refugees and resettling them in the US thus setting up Malta as an even greater magnet for Africans hoping to win the resettlement lottery and get to the US or Europe.

If you want to follow the whole sorry tale, just type Malta into our search function.

Now we see that Switzerland has quietly taken some of the Africans.  I was interested to see this line in the story at Malta Today yesterday suggesting that this was not a popular move by the Swiss government:

Although the refugees arrived in Switzerland in April, their presence has not been made public until today.

Here is the gist of the story:

Switzerland has accepted 19 North African refugees from Malta, Berne’s Justice Minister Simonetta Sommeruga told Swiss radio today.

Although the refugees arrived in Switzerland in April, their presence has not been made public until today.

Switzerland’s acceptance of the refugees is part of a European Union program known as ‘Eurema’, whose goal is to distribute North African refugees from Malta among European countries.

Actually I’m reminded of a post I wrote in January of 2011 where some of those arriving on Malta said they didn’t want to go to the US, but rather preferred farther north in Europe where the welfare goodies were better than the US.

Here is a line from that 2011 story:

“When I stayed In Switzerland they gave good house, and good life, good money and good education. Malta is small, they can’t.” [a Somali woman]

So these 19 hit the jackpot.  And behind them will be another 19, and another, and another.

Guilty! Another African-owned convenience store defrauded US taxpayers

This is one more in my ever-growing archive of food stamp fraud cases involving immigrant-owned or managed convenience stores in the US.

And, home health care frauds are starting to pop-up more frequently too.  Honestly, I think there are seminars taught abroad on how to get into the US and set up a scam!

Here is the latest story from Flint, Michigan on food stamp trafficking.  This guy got $750,000 of your tax dollars!  And, he somehow was previously guilty of immigration fraud and visa fraud.  So how did he even get permission to transact food stamp purchases?

Flint, MI – The owner of a west Flint market was convicted today in Flint federal court for conspiracy to commit food stamp fraud after witnesses testified he paid cash in exchange or food stamp benefits.

Jurors returned the guilty verdict against Noha T. Fofana after evidence showed that his store, Mandingo African Market, redeemed more than $750,000 in food stamp benefits between February 2009 and July 2011.

An analysis conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture showed that the market’s average food stamp redemption amount was $26,798 per month – compared to an average of $5,479 monthly redemption for other convenience stores within a .8 mile radius.

The United States Attorney Office of the Eastern District of Michigan claimed that Fofana and Akhir McFarland, who had previously pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing in federal court, conspired to manually enter Bridge Card numbers, a debit card-like device that electronically tracks benefits, and PINs order to transfer the benefits to the market’s bank account.

I sure would love to see how he managed the immigration fraud, so if anyone happens to come across that send it my way!

Immigration authorities must be notified of the conviction.

Fofana, who also goes by the name Nganio Fofana, previously served time after being convicted of visa fraud and unlawfully obtaining naturalization in federal court.

Home health care fraud may be even a greater scam!

When I visited the website of the US Attorney Office of the Eastern District of Michigan looking for more information on the above case, I saw this July press release about an Indian couple indicted in a HUGE Medicare scam case.   I’m telling you there is some international cabal (and it probably involves some US immigration attorneys) teaching ‘Scams 101,’ subtitled suckering the US taxpayer!

A federal indictment was unsealed today in Detroit charging two individuals for their participation in a series of separate Medicare fraud schemes involving home health services, United States Attorney Barbara L. McQuade announced.

McQuade was joined in the announcement by Acting Special Agent in Charge Edward Hanko of the FBI’s Detroit Field Office and Special Agent in Charge Lamont Pugh, III of the HHS-OIG Office of Investigation.

Charged in the indictment were Usha Shah, 63, and Deepak Shah, 63, both of West Bloomfield, Michigan. According to the indictment the Shahs were allegedly involved in fraudulent claims submitted to Medicare totaling more than $8.8 million through their company, Miracle Home Health of Southfield, for home health care services that were medically unnecessary and/or never provided.

In addition, the court documents allege that the Shahs engaged in a conspiracy to pay cash kickbacks in return for obtaining Medicare beneficiaries’ whose Medicare identifications were used to bill the Medicare program.
