Colorado Springs Councilman pounced upon for proposing refugee resolution

It is happening across the country, local city and county governments are passing resolutions in an attempt to gain at least information about who is being placed in their communities through the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program and the contractors hired by Washington to get them set up with their social services (aka welfare).
I’m coming in in the middle of this story where apparently Councilman Pico had already signaled his desire to promote a resolution for Colorado Springs.

Here is the news at The Gazette:

The furor over City Councilman Andres Pico’s proposal to “declare opposition” to relocating refugees to Colorado Springs continued Tuesday, with 10 people lambasting the idea, as others did Monday when Pico’s resolution was introduced.

Lutheran Family Services has welcomed refugees to the city since 1980, noted spokesman Floyd Preston. “We have been extremely successful at doing so; the Colorado Springs office has been named a premier (resettlement program).”

Vicki Witte said she has mentored refugee families. “Refugees are some of my closest friends. I’m sure they’ve taught me far more than I’ve taught them. Two things Mr. Pico really wants are notification and a good vetting system. Mr. Pico, those two things are already in place. You need not worry.”  [And, by the way, why does the US taxpayer bear responsibility for helping Ms. Witte find friends and learn things?—ed]

I will bet a buck that Councilman Pico has never been included in the advance preparation of the R & P Abstract that the Lutheran contractor prepares every year for Colorado Springs.  And, I’ll bet he has never even seen one—the refugee contractors have been instructed to not give this document to anyone! Secrecy is the watchword of this program!  The document will give notification about those to be placed in their towns.  More on Abstracts here.
At a minimum, Lutheran Family Services should turn over the FY2016 R & P Abstract and be willing to submit the planning process for FY2017 to public hearings held by the city council.

Since Colorado is a Wilson-Fish state…

…. Councilman Pico should be looking for support at the State level to encourage the state to be a plaintiff in a States’ Rights case being prepared by the Thomas More Law Center.  See one of many posts on Wilson-Fish here.  The gist of it is, in those states the refugee program is run (unconstitutionally) by a non-profit group like LSS and the feds thus eliminating any role for elected officials to protect the local and state taxpayers’ money going to programs to benefit refugees.
Go here for our archive on Colorado.  Grassroots activists should be looking to see which Colorado politicians are getting donations from companies (like meatpackers!) who are always on the hunt for cheap immigrant labor.  Do not be sidetracked by the ‘humanitarian’ propaganda (“seeds of good deeds”) surrounding this program!

(As of this writing, I see writer Nick Short left out World Relief (Evangelicals) in his list of Volags, but otherwise this is excellent!)
Mr. Short also directs readers to this map of the resettlement placement cities for Fiscal Year 2016.  Sorry I couldn’t reproduce it more clearly, go here for the original.  Note the color coding in each city for which of the nine major resettlement contractors are working there.  Amazing isn’t it that there are some cities with 4,5,6 or more contractors working the same territory!

Nebraska: Lutherans, Somalis, meatpackers, mosques (and controversy) in small town America

This is a story from late last month that should be nothing new to readers who have followed this blog since 2007.  We probably have 100 posts on this same subject, namely meatpackers working with the help of refugee resettlement contractors to spread Islam throughout the heartland.  LOL! Someone could write a book!

The story about a clash in Lexington, Nebraska about the location of a new Somali mosque is the subject of this lengthy report from the Omaha World-Herald late last month. (Sorry, just getting around to it now!).
Reporter Paul Hammel begins with this:

LEXINGTON, Neb. — The old Longhorn Laundry is an unlikely place for a showdown over the First Amendment.

You could easily miss the nondescript concrete building on a quiet downtown corner of this old cow town.

But ever since a group of Somali workers from the local meatpacking plant spread out a sea of Persian rugs in the expansive former laundry and began holding Muslim prayer services five times a day, there has been controversy.

City officials maintain that mosque leaders are ignoring local zoning laws and thumbing their noses at requirements for building permits and fire-code inspections.

They insist that the flap is about a lack of parking, not a denial of religious freedom, and that it wasn’t spurred by “Islamophobia.”

The attraction is employment at Tyson Foods:

African Muslims, mostly from war-torn Somalia, started arriving in the mid-2000s. Census estimates put the number of Somalis in Lexington at 769 in 2014 — a 40 percent increase from 2000. Local Somalis and those who work with them say there actually may be 1,500 or more living in the community.

Across Nebraska, census estimates show 2,100 Somali-born residents clustered in Omaha and Lincoln, and near meatpacking plants in Grand Island and Madison, as well as Lexington.

Read the whole thing, it is well worth it.  Hammel interviewed many of the players in the drama, including the Lutheran resettlement contractor out of Omaha.

What do the numbers look like?

To get an idea of what has been going on in Nebraska and because I wanted to know if Lexington’s Somalis are so-called ‘secondary migrants,’ I had a look at the US State Department data base and learned that since Obama was elected, Nebraska has ‘welcomed’ 6,716 refugees and the numbers have been increasing each of those years.
Most of the refugees (seeded in Nebraska by federal ‘church’ contractors) are Burmese or Iraqis, but of course Somalis have been resettled as well.   (There are small numbers of Muslim Burmese and the largest group of Iraqis we admit to the US are Muslims. Somalis are virtually all Muslim.)
The largest numbers went to Lincoln and Omaha, but I was surprised to see that the Lutheran agencies operating in the state placed 33 Somalis directly in Lexington which is well over a hundred miles from any resettlement office (unless one of the federal contractors has set up a subsidiary office way out Interstate 80 in Lexington).  The larger numbers of Somalis reported are indeed ‘secondary migrants’ (resettled in another state who then moved to Nebraska for meatpacking work.) I’ll look into this further…..

Where is "Spotlight" on US Catholic Bishops raking in millions and then dumping poverty into your towns?

…..Not to mention the fact that the Bishops are also being paid millions of tax dollars to colonize American towns with refugees from Middle Eastern and African countries which hate us!

“Everyone should see the movie Spotlight. I was surprised it got ‘best film’ award.I had expected it to be swept under the rug. Worth seeing and you will see some of the same cover-up methods that are used by the US refugee program today – also pretty much the same cast of characters!”

Does Immigration Mean The End Of Western Civilization?

That is the title of an excellent discussion by John Daniel Davidson at The Federalist (hat tip: Bob).

Novelist Jean Raspail. How did he see it coming over 40 years ago!

Davidson gives readers a good summary of the on-going crisis in Europe as hundreds of thousands of migrants from Africa and the Middle East continue to pour into the continent.  He then dares to mention that “racist” 1973 book, The Camp of the Saints.  If you have not read it, you must! But, I warn you, its message will hang over you like a dark threatening storm cloud (that never goes away!).
The Federalist (emphasis mine):

Europe is more than a year into the largest migrant crisis since the Second World War. More than a million have made their way to Germany alone over the past year. Some are refugees and asylum-seekers from Syria and Iraq, but it now appears that a significant number, as much as 60 percent, are economic migrants from North Africa, Afghanistan, and the Middle East, simply seeking better prospects in Europe.

The European Union, thanks to its common border policy, is overwhelmed and paralyzed…

Europeans leaders are of course trying to downplay the severity of the crisis even as its disruptive effects become impossible to ignore. On New Year’s Eve in cities across Germany, gangs of Arab and North African men, some of whom were later discovered to be asylum-seekers, robbed and sexually assaulted scores of women. Before police had completed their investigation, the European Commission declared there was “no link” between the migrant crisis and the attacks, the incidents were merely “a matter of public order.” Fearing a xenophobic backlash, the commission proclaimed itself “the voice of reason.”

On The Camp of the Saints, Davidson says: “At the heart of the novel is a moral question: Is the West willing to defend itself?”

All of this calls to mind a 1973 novel by French writer Jean Raspail—The Camp of the Saints, an apocalyptic tale about the collapse of European civilization. Much of it could be lifted from the news coming out of Europe. In the book, one million impoverished Indians [Raspail had only the home continent of the invaders wrong!—ed] make their way by boat from the Ganges to the shores of southern France with no intention of adopting French ways; they come simply to claim for themselves what Europeans have and they do not.

Unwilling to turn away the Ganges fleet for what they claim is universal brotherhood and compassion—but is in fact Western guilt—the government and all the country’s major institutions agree the migrants must be welcomed as a matter of moral duty and penance for France’s past sins. When the armada finally makes landfall, French society breaks down, exhausted and acquiescent, passively colonized by an unarmed army of castaways.
