VDARE writer shares testimony on FY2015 refugee admissions

Editors note:  Daily readers know that the US State Department asks for testimony every year on the “size and scope” of the Refugee Admissions program for the upcoming fiscal year.

In past years in addition to mailing in testimony, the State Department invited members of the public to appear and comment in person.  This year that did not happen and we can only assume the long-established procedure was abandoned as members of the public who had concerns about the program came to outnumber the contractors and their supporters (I joked with one of our friends there two years ago that I bet everyone in the room was there on salary except us!)

This year only mailed-in testimony was accepted.  If you sent testimony and would like it published, please send it to us for our consideration.  And, don’t forget to send it to all of your elected officials!

So that testimony doesn’t disappear into a black hole, write to Delicia Spruell (spruellda@state.gov) and ask for the entire public record of the consultation/hearing.

Walker:  It is neither morally right nor Constitutional for the government to harm Americans so that foreigners may be helped, no matter the initial good intentions.

For that reason, the refugee resettlement program should be shut down as an improvement for the American people.

Here is how the California native begins to build her case:

America is in its sixth year of a jobless “recovery,” yet the State Department continues to import tens of thousands of unskilled refugees from the Third World as if the economy were bubbling along with jobs for all who want them. The entire program seems painfully out of touch with the degree of economic suffering in the country and the effect on our poorest citizens of increasing job competition.

Here in California, the unemployment rate has dropped below 8 percent for the first time in six years as of April, indicating the long difficult struggle to climb back from the recession. Child poverty is running around 22 percent this year, another sign of the state’s poor economic performance. But the State Department resettled 5,173 refugees in California in 2012 when the economy was even more dismal.

Also in 2012, it was reported that the government placed hundreds of lead-poisoning-impaired Burmese refugees in Oakland, a chronically depressed city with too much homegrown crime and poverty. The federal program of dumping poor Third World people with learning disabilities has added to an already crushing burden on the city, and seems altogether a cruel use of government power.

He supposedly wanted to kill some Shiite Muslims in Rochester too! (Diversity is not beautiful to Sunnis.)

Who knows how this apparently legal immigrant got into the US, but the feds should check if his convenience store was ripping off US taxpayers while they are at it!

From AP at the Wall Street Journal:

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A New York business owner from Yemen plotted vengeance attacks against members of the U.S. military for American actions overseas and Shiite Muslims over the civil war in Syria, according to federal authorities.

Federal authorities said in court papers that Mufid Elfgeeh, 30, of Rochester, bought two handguns and two silencers as part of a plan to kill members of the U.S. armed forces returning from war, as well as Shiites in the Rochester area.

Elfgeeh was arrested Saturday and faces two counts of receiving and possessing an unregistered firearm silencer.

Check it out, he ran a convenience store too!

Elfgeeh, a naturalized U.S. citizen who operates Halal Mojo and Food Mart in Rochester, paid the informant $1,050 in the transaction completed Saturday afternoon and was immediately arrested for possession of the silencers not registered in his name.

North Dakota: Somali machete-man could get up to 5 years for attack

Diversity is strength alert!   We could have a “pocket of resistance” developing in North Dakota. Where is ‘Welcoming America’ when you need them?

Wow!  A whole 5 years max in the slammer!  How about deportation (for both of them)?

And, of course, here we have another trial with more court costs for interpreters! Is the US State Department or the resettlement contractor*** helping with the court costs?

Here is the story at The Dickinson Press:

JAMESTOWN — A Somali man who has lived in Jamestown since 2012 was found guilty Wednesday of aggravated assault in a machete attack on another Somali immigrant last year.

A jury also found Said Muse, 50, not guilty of attempted murder in Southeast District Court.

Muse was accused of using a machete against Abdirizak Nur on June 8 in Jamestown.

During the trial, which began Tuesday, several Jamestown police officers testified that Muse had been arrested for simple domestic assault May 31 and disorderly conduct early June 8. Both incidents involved altercations with Nur.

With help from an interpreter, Muse testified Wednesday that he posted bond June 8 and dropped off his suitcases at a friend’s residence before returning to the motel where Nur was staying to retrieve personal items. Nur met him at the door carrying the machete, and the men struggled, he said.

Muse said he knocked the knife out of Nur’s hand and got control of it, but didn’t strike Nur and had no idea how Nur got a 2-inch cut on his upper arm.

Aggravated assault is a Class C felony punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Muse remained in custody on $100,000 bail pending sentencing.

Elections have consequences! French riot police storm Calais migrant camps

The invasion of Europe hits a road block!

Wow!  That was fast.  Not even a week has passed since the European Union was turned on its head by a stunning victory for immigration control candidates in EU parliamentary elections.

If you don’t know about Calais, please visit our many previous posts by clicking here.  Like migrating birds, the faux asylum seekers were looking for a better deal in the UK and thus were camped at the English channel crossing just waiting for the winds to change (an opportunity to arise) so they could slip into Great Britain where the welfare is reportedly top notch.

Legitimate asylum seekers would have applied for asylum in the first safe country they reached.

CALAIS France (Reuters) – French riot police started evacuating three campsites housing hundreds of immigrants in the northern port town of Calais on Wednesday, days after the anti-immigrant National Front party hammered the ruling Socialists in a European election.

The evictions, denounced by local rights organizations, had been announced by a local government prefect a week earlier – before Sunday’s election drubbing – on the grounds that the makeshift camps posed problems for public health and safety.

Calais has for years attracted floods of immigrants who flee poverty or conflict in countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq, many of them hoping to cross the narrow sea channel to Britain by ferry or the sub-sea train tunnel.

The operation came on the heels of the European Parliament elections, where the National Front took one in four votes to come first ahead of the mainstream centre-right opposition party and, in third place, the ruling Socialist Party.

Pas-de-Calais lies in north-west France where the FN won 34 percent of the vote in Sunday’s election, one of its best tallies and a tripling of its score from the 2009 EU election.

The FN has long campaigned for a dramatic reduction in immigration and opposes the “Schengen” borderless zone at the heart of the 28-member European Union.

The invasion of Europe is well-advanced compared to the invasion of America and thus naturally the growth of its immigration control political movement is ahead of ours.  If the Democrats and the Republicans keep pushing high levels of immigration, it will come here too—it is just a matter of time.

Springfield, Mass. mayor (again) calls for moratorium on refugee resettlement for his city

Update May 29th:  Jewish Family Services which initially resettled the Muslim Somalis says it will work to rectify the situation, here.

Mayor: “No mas, no more!” 

Wyoming are you listening!   Does anyone wonder anymore how “pockets of resistance” are building to this program that is overloading your cities and towns with impoverished third-worlders?

And, even though the Mayor previously called for a moratorium for Springfield, I see Springfield is still on the State Department’s preferred resettlement sites list!

Yesterday Mayor Domenic Sarno renewed call for moratorium on refugee resettlement.

Here is the latest from MassLive:

Somali family (father, two women, 12 kids) relocated from roach-infested house with no electricity!  The two women are said to be sisters—Ha! Ha!

SPRINGFIELD – City officials said Tuesday that Somali refugees including 12 children were found living in deplorable conditions in a Union Street apartment that had a heavy infestation of roaches and no electricity.

The duplex apartment at 515 Union St. was condemned Thursday by the city, and the tenants — believed to number three adults and 12 children — were relocated after Code Enforcement and Housing officials were notified and conducted the inspection, city officials said.

“It was the heaviest infestation of roaches I have seen in years,” said David Cotter, the city’s deputy director of code enforcement in the Housing Division. “They were all over the walls, floors, ceilings, window areas, doorways. I ordered all the inspectors out of there until we could get a full extermination report.”

According to police, one child was doing her homework outside the building under a street lamp on Wednesday night due to the lack of electricity, Cotter said.

Mayor  renews call for a halt to any new resettlement in Springfield.  The only way to get the attention of the State Department and the arrogant contractors is to make a huge publicity stink, so readers, help Springfield by spreading this news far and wide across America!

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, who has been critical of the refugee resettlement policies in Springfield in the past, renewed his criticism on Tuesday. Refugees have not received adequate follow-up services from the resettlement agencies, from the federal level on down, leaving them to be a strain on city services, Sarno said.

“Where is the accountability?” Sarno said.

The residents were living in poverty and in crowded, unsafe conditions, Sarno said.

Sarno had urged the federal government to stop locating new refugees in Springfield last year, and called for a moratorium again on Tuesday.

“No mas, no more,” Sarno said.

Contractors are surely saying among themselves, but wouldn’t dare say so publicly at this moment:  NOT our problem, we were only responsible for them for up to 8 months in 2003!   Surely even the bureaucrats at the US State Department and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (in HHS) are saying—people don’t understand, it’s not our job to take care of refugees for years.  But, you know what!  Whose fault is that that the public doesn’t understand the program?

The complexity and secrecy surrounding refugee resettlement in the US for over three decades now has shielded the federal program from public understanding and scrutiny—until now that is!

Wandering Somalis!

Robert Marmor, president and chief executive officer of the Jewish Family Service of Western Mass., said his agency resettled the initial family in Springfield in September 2003.

The family later moved to Nashville, Tenn., and then returned to Springfield in 2008, and asked for and received assisted then, Marmor said. The family then moved to Utica, N.Y., in 2011, before returning to Springfield, he said.

In Minnesota, 63% of Somalis live in poverty and I will bet in every state where they are congregated a similar statistic is available.

By the way, Mayor Sarno is a Democrat and the irony is that it was none other than the former Senator from Massachusetts—‘Don’t bring-em to Hyannis’ Kennedy who is ultimately responsible for the mess now in Springfield.

Ted Kennedy, Joe Biden and Jimmy Carter brought us the Refugee Act of 1980 and the present system that doles out your tax dollars to unaccountable  “non-profit” contractors to drop off the refugees in overloaded cities, care for them for a few months and then walk away.
