468 refugees admitted to US since moratorium announced on Friday evening

We learned that the Trump Administration granted a reprieve for 872 already on the way. Presumably this 468 is part of that number.
Here is where they went (from Wrapsnet):

Texas was the number one destination. Alaska and Hawaii got zero.

Twenty different ethnic groups were admitted (none from the seven countries identified as terror hotspots). There were however 15 who came from Afghanistan over the weekend and 6 Palestinians.
The top five are as follows:

DR Congo (136) The UN asked us to take 50,000 over 5 years and we are doing what we were told!

Bhutan (127) The UN (in 2007) wanted us to clean out some of their camps in Nepal and we are nearly finished cleaning them out. We have taken almost 100,000! (See here).

Eritrea (39)

Ukraine (37)

El Salvador (31) The Trump Admin. must address this problem—Central Americans are NOT refugees, Obama literally wrote refugee law administratively to admit them.

Of the 468, only 43 are Muslims. The 6 Palestinians we took over the weekend are Muslims (we don’t take very many Palestinians). The 15 from Afghanistan are also Muslims.

Why isn't Afghanistan on President Trump's list?

Update:  Paul Sperry writing at the New York Post a couple of days ago asks the same question, here.
As you know there are seven countries (Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Yemen) from which the Trump Administration is restricting immigration/entry because of terror infiltration concerns.
There are lots of countries one might question that are not on the list, but I wondered why Afghanistan isn’t an obvious choice.
Someone asked me this week whether there was an increase in ‘refugees’ being admitted from Afghanistan and I thought it seemed like there was, so I just checked.
We admitted 11,191 ‘refugees’ from Afghanistan since FY 2004 and here is what it looks like (sorry this is the best I could do with the screenshots at Wrapsnet):

My columns aren’t the straightest, but see that the for FY2004 the number is 959, etc. Note the big jump in FY2016, indicating my suspicions were right.

There was a big uptick of refugee admissions from Afghanistan in FY2016. I checked religions as well and found that 97% were Muslims of some sort (not a surprise!).

As we have done in Iraq as well, we are bringing both sides of the Sunni vs. Shiite conflict to America.  4,106 were Shiites and 5,783 are Sunnis. So do we place them in the same communities in America?
A few of the 206 we admitted since last Friday are from Afghanistan.
Here is where those 11,191 were placed (from FY 2004 until yesterday):

So, again, why isn’t Afghanistan a nation of concern?

4 months into FY2017, US admits 32,331 refugees, 206 since Trump order

You’ve seen it all over the news I’m sure: the Trump Administration has reportedly given a waiver to 872 refugees who are already in transit around the world to enter the US despite the freeze announced on Friday. 206 of those are represented in the summary below.

Today marks the end of 4 months of Fiscal year 2017.

For new readers, the fiscal year ends on September 30th and sometime during the week of September, President Donald Trump will be making his determination for how many refugees and from where they will come for fiscal year 2018.  He will send the determination to Congress and Congress’ role is ONLY to consult.  For decades, until 2015, the determination was met on the hill with virtual silence.

As you know the Executive Order of last Friday evening reset this year’s ceiling from Obama’s 110,000 (a number not seen since before 9/11) to 50,000.  50,000 is the maximum ceiling set in the original Refugee Act of 1980, see here.
Go here to see why 50,000 is still too high for this year.
Wrapsnet is up today (I couldn’t get it yesterday).  As of Friday I had recorded 31,125 refugees admitted and this morning the number is 32,331 (an addition of 206 since the EO went into effect Friday evening).  None of the 7 restricted nationalities were admitted in the 206 allowed in over the last day or two.
Here is a screenshot of where the 32,331 have been placed (from Wrapsnet):

Cut off in the screenshot: FL is 1,052, Alaska (32) and Hawaii (3)

Here are  the top ten states so far this fiscal year. Readers in Texas take note. Anything the Governor has done, although admirable, has done nothing to slow the flow to Texas.  Look at these states—they are working full time to make sure that, in addition to the big prize Texas, they ultimately turn swing states blue!

Tucker does it again! This time he takes on HIAS CEO Mark Hetfield

mark-hetfield
CEO Mark Hetfield doing well by doing good!

HIAS of course stands for Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (a name they dumped a few years back).
Go here to see what they are telling their members about Donald Trump’s moratorium on refugees.
If you missed Fox News’ Tucker Carlson taking on Kevin Appleby here a few days ago, you might want to revisit that takedown before watching Tucker go after Hetfield and his mumbo-jumbo about how it is our duty to take in the refugees of the world, but Hetfield refuses to tell Tucker exactly how many or why it is an American value that we must adhere to.

Refugee resettlement is a taxpayer-funded industry!

We have told you about HIAS dozens and dozens of times here at RRW (archived here). Here is our most recent report on their finances—post titled:  ‘Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society lectures Trump; never mentions its pecuniary interest in refugees’
Carlson does bring up the fact that the largest percentage of their income is from taxpayers in some form or another. Indeed in that recent post on their finances (for 2014) we can only see around $6 million (of their $36 million in income that year) coming from private charitable sources.
Hetfield countered by saying they get paid (by the federal govt.) a paltry $2,075 per refugee they place in your towns and cities.
However!  He never mentions the hundreds of thousands (millions ?) they receive from the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement for many ancillary activities.
One of my all time favorites was the HEALTHY MARRIAGE GRANTS where these resettlement contractors (and assorted ethnic self-help groups!) were granted millions to teach refugees how to have healthy marriages (this is not fake news!).
They have changed the grant since I told you about it here in 2013.  But see that HIAS was top dog in the 2009 healthy marriage sweepstakes:

In FY 2009, ORR funded the following grants:

~Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Inc., $830,000, NY

~Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Inc., $400,000, NY

For anyone (hey Trump Administration, I found some savings for you! How about auditing these non-profits!) interested in delving deeper into HIAS pot of money. See screen shot of one portion of one of their pages at USASpending.gov  (by the way, it gets tricky for HIAS because they have two different listings at USA Spending, one under HIAS, Inc. and the other under their old full name).

Remember readers, since this non-profit group is using so much of your money, we have every right to ask what they are doing with it!

Since Obama took office they raked in $157,765,184 of your money!

(From their Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society page)

I shot this one section of one page. There are 4 pages like this at USA Spending, and there are additional pages under HIAS, Inc. (not sure if those are duplicate listings).

One more thing! HIAS helped organize the ‘pink pussy hat’ women’s march in DC recently, see here. Is HIAS working in your city? Go here and find out.
LOL! This is why I don’t get much done each day! I just keep digging and finding more information that I think would interest you!

Here is what you’ve been waiting for!  Tucker Carlson interviewed Mark Hetfield last evening (hat tip Rosemary):

P.S. I’m sure it was HIAS that directed the SPLC to give me this great award!

Trip down memory lane: Iraqi who helped American troops convicted of brutal rape

Yesterday, when we reported on the befuddled Kevin Appleby trying to respond to Tucker Carlson’s questions about refugee crimes in America, we were stunned to see Appleby not be able to think of one case.  Was he lying?  Or is it possible he honestly doesn’t know because the cases we have reported on our pages never made national mainstream media news!
And, since the media (and refugee industry advocates) are now screaming bloody murder about the ‘pure as the driven snow’ Muslims who helped US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, below is a repost of a story from 2014:

Iraqi refugee rapist found guilty in Colorado; Diana West reports the story nationally

Author and one of the best investigative researchers in America, Diana West, has made the Colorado rape story a national story here at Townhall.   As we noted in our report on the trial of “Steve-O,” an Iraqi man who “helped” American soldiers in Iraq and who in turn was granted asylum in the US because a soldier befriended him, horrific cases like this one rarely make national news in large part, I believe, because it goes against the melting pot mythology surrounding Islam and our immigration policy that has opened America’s doors to an alien culture.

jasim-ramadon
Poster boy for Iraqis who helped Americans! Jasim Ramadon doing 28 years to life for brutal rape. Why didn’t we just deport him to Iraq and save ourselves what probably will amount to hundreds of thousands of tax dollars to keep him incarcerated.

But, Diana West, says it best at Townhall.    See her blog post this week too, here.  She did some serious digging and reveals that Jasim Ramadon (aka Steve-O, aka Jay Hendrix) was a problem from his earliest days in America.  Why was that?

Two Iraqi men in their 20s have been convicted of a bloody sex crime in Colorado that left the victim, a woman in her 50s, in need of immediate surgery and a colostomy bag. Three other Iraqi men, also in their 20s,were convicted on lesser charges as accessories.

Four points set this case apart. First, there is its brutality: Law enforcement officers describe the July 2012 assault as “rare” and “horrific” and “one of the worst in Colorado history.” Second, all of these men once assisted U.S. military forces in Iraq as informants and interpreters. Third, every one of them received permanent residency status in the U.S., due in part to efforts made by U.S. military members on their behalf. Fourth, this extraordinary case and the ties that bind it to the U.S. military and the war in Iraq have received little coverage.

You must go read the whole thing!   She has uncovered some amazing additional facts including the laughable news that Ramadon once made an appearance on Oprah.

Here is the conviction story from earlier in the week at The Gazette.

As I’ve said previously I would like to see some brave members of Congress introduce legislation that would put the financial burden of criminal trials and the cost of incarceration of “refugees” and “asylees” on the US State Department and not on the local county or state where the refugee has been placed.

There also needs to be thorough consideration of deportation in cases like this one.  Send Ramadon back to Iraq and let him take the consequences there rather than burden the taxpayers of Colorado with the cost of his imprisonment for possibly a life term.  Imagine the demands Ramadon’s “religion” is going to place on the prison system there.

We have a crimes category here at RRW with 2,064 previous posts. Not all the crimes listed are as heinous as this one and many of those posts are crimes committed elsewhere in the world by refugees and asylum seekers, but if any serious investigative reporters have any interest, it is a good place to start!
