Comment worth noting: Swedish Tsarnaev wannabes?

Reader ‘pungentpeppers’ tells us a story from August that we didn’t know about—two Swedish citizens, brothers, of Lebanese descent joined the Jihad in Syria by traveling there using their travel-the-world-free card, a Swedish passport.  Our reader asks if Sweden bears any responsibility for allowing its citizens to go to another country to kill people?  A question that should be asked of the US State Department and Homeland Security too, should it turn out that we also gave citizenship to Somali refugees who then traveled on a US passport to kill scores of innocent shoppers in Kenya.

The story bears an eerie resemblance to the Tsarnaev Boston Bomber family except that these brothers didn’t kill their fellow citizens.   Emphasis is mine.

A pair of Swedish brothers, one of them a suicide bomber and the other a jihadi fighter, entered Syria by way of Lebanon, using their Swedish passports. The younger brother, named Moatassem al-Hassan, age 18, blew himself up this past August in a suicide bombing at a Syrian army checkpoint in the province of Homs. The other, Hassan al-Hassan, 20, was killed in a related military operation against the Syrian army.  Both brothers were fighting for a radical Islamic group named Jund al-Sham with links to al-Qaeda.

While still in Sweden just a year ago, Hassan, the elder brother, had started his university studies. And had he stayed in Scandinavia, Moatasem would have started his degree this year. “But they left everything and travelled back to Mankubeen, where their parents have been living for two years now,” said Jihad, a cousin. [This family resemble the Tsarnaevs. One son started college, but didn’t continue, and both mom and dad had left their sons behind when they returned to live in the good old country.]

“And like Tamerlan Tsarnaev who traveled to Chechnya where it is believed he received terrorist training, these brothers traveled to Lebanon to learn the terrorist trade. However, unlike the Tsarnaevs, they never made it back to the West.”

The brothers were members of a large Lebanese Sunni family who are known for violence. Their brother Rabih died in street fighting in Lebanon. Their uncle Saddam, a man with close ties to Al-Qaeda’s Ayman al-Zawahri, blew himself up in a suicide bombing in Tripoli, Lebanon. Another uncle, Youssef al-Hajj Dib, is serving a life sentence in Germany after he planted two bombs on passenger trains. A catastrophe was averted because those bombs failed to detonate. Perhaps it was a blessing for Sweden that these two Swedish citizens left and did not come back.  For if they had returned to Sweden, they might have emulated their uncle Youssef, the “suitcase bomber”, and tried to blow up a train or two.

Doesn’t the Swedish government bear any responsibility? It allowed its citizens to go to another country and kill their citizens. Is the purpose of citizenship just to give a passport to someone so that they can gain financial benefit and ease of travel? The recipient need show neither responsibility nor commitment to Sweden? What type of perverted “citizenship” is this?

Although they are Swedish citizens, Middle Easterners consider these two “martyrs” to be Lebanese. Their homicidal acts in Syria threatened the stability of Lebanon and pushed that poor country towards the same road of terrible destruction faced by the Syrians. These brothers were handed all of the advantages that life in Sweden offered: money, a chance to study, the opportunity to create a good life. But Islam and Martyrdom, and Jihad in a country that is not your own, were more important than Swedish peace and secularism.

My solution:  If you can’t sort them out in advance, you don’t let any of them in!

Swedes express fear about future of their country as government opens the doors to Syrians

I saw this story this morning on twitter (thanks to Fjordman).  It reports the reaction of Swedes who are willing to tell the truth about what is happening to their country, albeit readers must get through 20 paragraphs or so of blather before getting to the juicy part.  Blather about how “welcoming” Sweden is to immigrants, blather about how generous the socialists of Sweden are, and blather about how they are a bit annoyed at the rest of the world (the US, Russia and Israel specifically) because other countries don’t share their generosity toward immigrants.

As I see it, at least we aren’t as stupid as the Swedes, but we are working on it!

My Imaginary Socialist Swede:  We’ll destroy our country in the process, but we will show those stingy racist Americans what good people we are!

And here’s where things get a bit sensitive, especially in such an overtly politically correct society as Sweden. Most immigrants, says Scheldt (Gothenburg resident Jonas Scheldt), are “Muslims from harsh backgrounds and traditions.”

“Approximately 10 percent of Sweden today are Muslims from the Middle East and North Africa,” Scheldt continues. “Most of them don’t work. They breed like rabbits. They want special Sharia law. They don’t want music in schools. They’re against homosexuals, abortion, human rights. Some Swedes are becoming afraid of what’s to come in the future.”

Fear for the future of their country. It’s a theme echoed by some of the other Swedes we interviewed.

“Afraid, yes that’s the right word for Swedes,” agrees Weibert.

Fear of increasing crime, which many Swedes blame on the increased immigrant population, is palpable.

“Since we are a socialist country with a ‘humane’ way of thinking, we have been creating problems for ourselves,” argues Weibert. “We have a huge problem right now with segregation and ‘hoods.’

And that’s only because we’ve opened our arms to everybody without having the ability to take care of all the people in the right way. So now we are having problems in Gothenburg with shootings, which take place almost every day now.”

“Crime has gone sky high,” concurs Scheldt. “There were five shootings last week in Gothenburg.”

Such crimes were virtually unheard of a generation ago.

There are other crimes that Swedes blame on immigrants.

“In Malmö the Jews are being persecuted by Muslims because of Israel’s wrongdoing,” adds Scheldt. “Sweden also now has one of the world’s highest rates of rape. When I was young, we didn’t have to lock our doors. Girls are afraid to walk home in the evening. There’s more violence, missing people, trafficking, drugs, killings [and] abuse of the welfare system.”

“Sweden has never been like this before,” Scheldt says. “My 75-year-old father has been knocked down and robbed twice in the past two years. My sister got stabbed.”

Maybe Sweden will wake up in time, but they have such a huge Muslim population now I doubt they can reverse their downward trajectory.  But, look on the bright side—as the country dies, watching the death throes might be enough to shake some sense into other Western countries before it’s too late.    That is why we write about Sweden so often.

Sweden hastens its demise by opening doors to Syrians

My alerts are full and over-flowing with news about Syrian “refugees.”  They will surely be coming to America* and some local media is already predicting this (fill in the blank) city will soon be seeing them.    Sweden, however, earlier this week made a sweeping promise inviting them, one and all, to their socialist dream nation.

Swedish Prime Minister Frederick probably put a bug in Obama’s ear, and what a coincidence that the decision to invite Syrians to “welcoming” Sweden was timed for Obama’s visit!

Already troubled by Muslim asylum-seekers from all over the Middle East and Africa, Sweden came one step closer this week to annihilating their Nordic culture and population in the decades to come—-why don’t they see it!   Click here for our entire archive on Sweden—the canary in the coal mine!

Here is the news from The Local:

Swedish migration authorities have ruled that all Syrian asylum seekers who have come to Sweden will be granted permanent residency in light of the worsening conflict in Syria.Sweden is the first country in the EU to offer permanent residency to refugees from Syria, news agency TT reported.

The decision covers all asylum seekers from Syria who have been granted temporary residency in Sweden for humanitarian protection. They will now receive permanent residence permits, the Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) announced on Tuesday.

Previously, around half of Syrian asylum seekers had been granted permanent residency, with the remaining half receiving three-year residence permits.

The decision means that the roughly 8,000 Syrians who have temporary residency in Sweden will now be able to stay in the country permanently.

They will also have the right to bring their families to Sweden.  [Let the fraud begin!—ed]

Of course, what Sweden has done is put pressure on the entire EU and the US as well to open doors wide for what will be largely members of both sides of the warring Muslim factions.

Then Marylanders were treated to an e-mail from Ellen Sauerbrey who ran the Office of Population Refugees and Migration in the Bush Administration with a link to this article which says—-bring ’em in!  Thanks to all who sent this to me yesterday!

What the Forbes writer doesn’t get is that we won’t be bringing in only the Christians!  He probably doesn’t know that contractors like the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, or Catholic Charities, or Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services have no problem resettling all the Muslims the State Department sends their way! 

The politically-correct State Department does not seek out the Christians and place them at the top of the list!

We weren’t awake when the US began the resettlement of over a hundred thousand Somalis to our cities.  We are a little more awake as the State Department will soon top the Somali numbers with Iraqi “refugees.”  But, surely the public is now getting it—we can’t afford hundreds of thousands of needy Muslims!

Swedish Leftist in Somalia escapes kidnapping attempt; is wounded

Others in her party were killed.

Ann-Margarethe Livh and Abdirahim Hassan members of the Swedish Left Party. Livh was injured and flown out of the country, Hassan reportedly died in the attack.

I don’t know how I missed this story from late last week.  Longtime readers know that we have a keen interest in Sweden and its socialist experiment with large, and ever-growing numbers of  needy refugees and asylum seekers allowed into the country.

Somali gunmen tried to kidnap a Swedish opposition politician in an ambush in which she and another woman were wounded and two men were killed, police said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. However, al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab militants have kept up guerrilla-style attacks and kidnappings in the city despite being largely pushed out by Somali and African forces two years ago.

Witnesses said Ann-Margarethe Livh, an opposition Left Party city councilor in Stockholm, was returning to her hotel after giving a speech at the University of Somalia when the gunmen struck near the Turkish embassy, Reuters reports.

Student Ahmed Dek said she flung open the rear door of the car and ran under a hail of bullets towards the university. She was bleeding badly from her left side, he said.

Police said an officer guarding her and a man said to be her translator were killed. A Somali woman from Sweden was also wounded, they said.

Livh is the most prominent Left Party politician in Stockholm. A party spokeswoman told Sweden’s TT news agency the group was in Mogadishu “in connection with an international project within the work of the Left Party”.

Here is another report on the terrorist attack which identifies one of the dead men as also a member of the Left Party.  According to Wikipedia the Swedish Left Party is a socialist and feminist party.

Local journalist Hamza Mohamed told The Local on the phone from Mogadishu that Livh was injured near the University of Somalia, where staff confirmed she had given a guest lecture.

“She was leaving the premises and was fifteen steps outside the university compound when men in a tinted (window) car opened fire,” he said.

Local Stockholm newspaper Norra Sidan also reported on Wednesday that Abdirahim Hassan had died in Somalia. His family confirmed the death. Hassan was a member of Sweden’s Left Party, which referred all questions to the foreign ministry when contacted by The Local.

Somali government to Holland and Sweden: don’t send those troublemakers back here

According to the Somaliland Sun, the new government of Somalia recently turned back an airplane carrying Somali youths being deported from the Netherlands and Sweden (were some of them the Somalis who terrorized Sweden back in May?).

I looked around a bit for another source on this news and didn’t find it.  In February the Dutch Government was thwarted in an attempt to send back a few criminal types, so I’m not sure there was a recent plane carrying Somali deportees from two countries (it strikes me as strange that the two countries coordinated such a flight).

Nevertheless, this is being reported at Somali websites (emphasis is mine):

Somalilandsun – An airplane carrying Somalis deported from Holland and Sweden has recently been turned back from Mogadishu airport

The Somali nationality and Immigration directorate have recently returned back an airplane carrying Somali youth deportees from Holland and Sweden , according to local Somali websites .

General Abdillahi Gaafo who is the director of Immigration said that ” it is illegal to send youth back to the country without any notification to the Somali government and without indicating the reasons behind their deportation” . Any forced return of Somalis by these countries should be prior to talks between these countries and Somalia and with prior agreement by the Somali government on the return of deportees to the country, the general concluded .

Holland has earlier been condemned for sending Somalis back to the war-torn country and the EU high courts have prevented many Somalis from being forcefully deported to Somalia by the Dutch government .

So, if it’s true, then the Dutch and Swedish governments need to try notifying first and see what happens.

Readers, think about this.  All over the world, Africans are leaving Africa and Middle Easterners are trying to get out of their hellholes.  How is this ever going to stop in the decades to come?  Sad to say, but in my view, the invasion of the West is only going to get worse.
