Tucker to World Relief Prez: How can you claim it is Christian charity when you take millions from taxpayers?

Tucker Carlson once again interviews one of the bigwigs in the refugee industry—the President of World Relief, Scott Arbeiter—that recently announced it would close some offices around the country as their federal funding begins to dry up.
Here is another of many posts we have on World Relief (Corporation of National Association of Evangelicals).
No time to say more, see Carlson here ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lfCv0eQX6c ) and below:

See our Carlson archive here.  And our complete World Relief archive is here.
BTW, Arbeiter claims they are only doing what the government asks them to do.  Then why bitch when the government (under Trump) tells them it is time to stop (or slow) what they have been doing for almost 40 years?
These federal resettlement contractors have to go, I have ideas on how to run a small refugee program without them!

Texas immigration control citizen activists must lead!

Just now I saw this headline story at The Hill:
Sure we all agree that it makes sense that a mixture of measures be included in the border security plan, but Cornyn is chairman now of the subcommittee in the Senate that was so ably run by then Senator Jeff Sessions.
Sen. John Cornyn has been in the Senate for nearly 15 years, and apparently has never done anything of significance on the issue (please correct me if I am wrong!).

cornyn
Cornyn in the catbird seat! If you want to see the Refugee Admissions Program reined-in and reformed, Texans need to pound Senator Cornyn!

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) is pushing back against the Trump administration’s call for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, arguing in some areas it wouldn’t be the best option.

“There’s parts of our border which it makes absolutely no sense,” the Senate’s No. 2 Republican told a Texas ABC station on Wednesday. “But what is helpful [is] to have fencing, for example, is places like San Diego, it’s a large urban area.”

Cornyn added that he thought border security needed to include a mixture of personnel, technology and infrastructure.

There is more, but the border wall isn’t the point of this post.

The point is that if you want to reform the US Refugee Admissions Program (and control illegal immigration), Texas Washington Reps should be the focus.

We look to citizen activists in Texas to lead the charge.

Senator Cornyn as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee (now renamed Subcommittee on Border Security and Immigration) is the key Senator to focus on.  Senator Sessions had called this same subcommittee—Immigration and the National Interest—which spoke volumes about what Senator Sessions was trying to accomplish.
See the makeup of the critical subcommittee below (Texas Senator Cruz is on it too!):

Donald Trump will not be able to get immigration/the refugee program under control without Senator Cornyn’s active involvement in a supporting role.
Then over in the House, Texans have Rep. Brian Babin, the chief architect of refugee reform legislation, who needs support.
And, Texas citizens have Rep. Michael McCaul as Chairman of Homeland Security and see that the House Appropriations Committee  has several Texans in key positions. Cutting funding for the USRAP is one way to skin the cat!
So, again, if Texans could get organized to focus on a couple of key representatives in Washington, you could not only save Texas, but all of America!
By the way, Texas Governor Abbott withdrew the state from the USRAP but it is pretty much a useless move since the program there is now run by private contractors. He could sue the feds on State’s Rights grounds, but so far there doesn’t seem to be the will.  (Even as Texas continues to vie with California as the number one resettlement state in the nation!)
This post is tagged ‘Where is Congress,’ see all of my posts on the subject.  By the way, for the most part members of Congress and Senators are hiding while Donald Trump gets beat up on the subject!

Japan holds firm, admits only TINY number of refugees

I haven’t written about Japan for awhile, and since we have so many new readers, I figured it was time to point this out (again)—Japan only takes a tiny number of refugees!
And, consequently, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees has been haranguing Japan for years to open its doors (and begin diluting their culture!) to the masses of Middle Eastern and African (mostly Muslim) migrants on the move around the world.  Japan has resisted.

trump-and-prime-minister-shinzo-abe
Pres. Trump and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe: Simpatico on immigration? I betcha!

And, btw, I have not seen the UNHCR harangue China, Saudi Arabia or some other Middle Eastern countries in the same way they nag Japan.
Here is an activist from the UK badmouthing Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, at The Diplomat:

When asked for his view on the U.S. president’s executive order to ban the entry of people from seven Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East and Africa, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s response was very disappointing.“We are not in a position to express the view of the Japanese government,” he said at the Upper House on January 30. Not surprisingly, he did not bring up the travel ban’s issue when he met President Donald Trump earlier this month.

In contrast to the clear disagreement with the travel ban expressed by other world leaders, the Japanese leader’s response received criticism from the opposition and civil society. Many theorized that the prime minister had avoided criticizing the new U.S. president in order to protect Japan’s national interests, in particular its economy and security. Yet others pointed out a more fundamental problem: Japan cannot point its finger at any other country’s immigration policy.

Japan’s record on immigration and refugees is not something that the country can be proud of. In 2016, Japan granted refugee status to only 28 people out of 10,901 applicants. In other words, 99 percent of applications were rejected.

It is not enough for the nags that Japan is one of the world’s top contributors to the UNHCR:

Japan is one of the top donors to the UN Refugee Agency (UNCHR). It contributed $164,726,114 in 2016, making Japan the fourth largest donor after the United States, European Union, and Germany. Yet instead of turning this generosity to welcome refugees on its soil, Japan crosses its arms to those who actually arrive on its doorstep. On January 30, when discussing the U.S. travel ban, Abe added after his response, “At any rate, we believe the international community should jointly cope with refugee issues.”

To learn more about Japan’s limited involvement with ‘welcoming’ disparate cultures to the country, read on.
So far, Japan’s leadership is smart enough to look around the world and ask—why should we invite the problems we see in Sweden, Germany, France, The Netherlands and the US to our tiny country?
For my previous posts on Japan, go here.

Refugees trickling in now as March 3rd approaches; 50,000 is not low enough!

There are some rumors floating around that the new EO on refugees, especially those entering from the seven terror hotspots previously identified, won’t happen until next week.  But, it is only a rumor, and LOL!, Trump could be signing it shortly, for all I know.
However, we do know that the US State Department alerted refugee contractors (the nine volags) here that they should expect the spigot to stop around March 3rd, a week from tomorrow.  I’m assuming this advance notice is so they can clear up those cases coming in and there won’t be anyone caught at airports who could make a scene for the media.

Why is Rove still an ‘expert’ for Fox News when he was soooo wrong during the presidential campaign?

I see this morning at Wrapsnet that we are already at 36,637 today (up from 36,461 yesterday) for this fiscal year.
So unfortunately the Trump team didn’t cap the arrivals at my recommended 35,000 and must still be aiming for 50,000 this year.

50,000 is not that low!

I wanted to throw a shoe at Karl Rove on Fox News sometime yesterday or the day before when he said that Trump had cut the number in half for refugee arrivals.
Sorry to be a broken record, but when Obama set the CEILING, for most of the year he would no longer be in the White House, at 110,000 that was his dreamland proposal. If Hillary won, surely that is where we would be headed, but with Trump’s win, it allows the refugee industry to cry foul because they thought they would get the whopping 110,000 (a figure not seen since well before 9/11).
Here (again) are the numbers we admitted since FY2001 (in red are the years we were BELOW 50,000!):

2001: 87,259 (this year’s number would have been proposed by Clinton in the fall of 2000)

2002: 45,896

2003: 39,554

2004: 79,158

2005: 69,006

2006: 41,223

2007: 48,282

2008: 60,191

2009: 74,654

2010: 73,311

2011: 66,424

2012: 58,238 (Obama had a low year here!)

2013: 69,926

2014: 69,987

2015: 69,993

2016: 84,994

Check my math, but that looks like the average is around 65,000 per year, so Trump’s 50,000 represents only a 23% drop (again you better check my math! I know you will!) from the average number in the last 16 years.

There is still time for the Trump team to set the ceiling lower yet for this fiscal year! And, frankly Congress must begin to reform this out of control program or else we go back to the same old flawed system in a few months!

Go here and see why it is important for you to let Donald Trump know what you think!

Update:  Here is Fox News saying the ceiling reduces entry by 50%! It is so maddening to see how screwed up the media can be when it is something one knows a bit about!

All they needed to do to save Europe from invasion was to turn back just a couple of boats

….but it is too late.
Here is a long story at Bloomberg Businessweek that you don’t have to read. It is an overly-long, detailed account of the travails of a Somali migrant (is he even telling the truth?) being trafficked in to Europe.

mediteranean-rescue-ships
At another time in history, citizens of Europe would see clearly that these are invaders. http://worldmaritimenews.com/archives/166749/thousands-of-migrants-rescued-in-the-mediterranean/

The invasion began in earnest when Obama and Hillary destabilized Libya opening the best migrant launchpad ever available on the coast of North Africa.  (I have many posts here on Hillary and Libya).
In 2015, then Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott told the Europeans what they must do.  They didn’t listen!
He said to begin (safely) turning boats back to the African coast.  It would only take a few returns to derail the network of traffickers making millions by moving Africans to Europe.
I can’t believe that we might see the end of Europe as a bulwark of western civilization even in my lifetime (and I am old!), my children will certainly see it!

Tony Abbott: Turn back the boats!

In my opinion, only two paragraphs matter in this long Bloomberg piece that followed the route of one Somali star of the story. Here they are:

At last, one night in the spring of 2015, some men moved him to a rubber boat on the beach. With a hundred other people, he moved out onto the darkened Mediterranean. “We were on the water for 16 hours,” he said. One migrant carried a satellite phone and called an Italian number when the boat started to leak. “Then we were rescued by the Italian Coast Guard,” said Ahmed.

The rescue ships on the Mediterranean—the U.S. Coast Guard, NGO vessels, Eunavfor frigates—try to give some comfort to the people they scoop from the sea. They offer thin, warm stew and a quick medical checkup before delivering them to an Italian port. Ahmed arrived in Sicily in about March 2015. He’s still there, at the CARA Mineo refugee camp, waiting for European asylum.

The traffickers know how to get the invaders ‘rescued.’

I didn’t know that the US Coast Guard was involved in the European invasion, but, if so, it’s time for Trump to pull them back.
