Relief Web: EU still hasn’t resettled its promised 10,000 Iraqi refugees

Frankly, I don’t know how they can resettle any more immigrants as their socialist economic system continues to flounder, but nonetheless they are being pushed to do so by refugee advocates.

From a Relief Web announcement of a new report:

The November 2008 pledge to resettle up to 10 000 refugees from Iraq has not yet been met and it is not clear how and when this will happen. The question is how much more are the EU and its Member States prepared to do to address the continuing needs of Iraqi and other refugees in need of durable solutions.

I bet the average European citizenĀ is asking what about our durable solution?

In contrast the US (rolling in dough with jobs galore!) has resettled 10,201 Iraqis in the first 7 months of this fiscal year alone.
