Just didn’t get to to this on Friday or yesterday, but here are the three Top Posts and Top countries for the past week. Please see daily Top Posts in right hand sidebar.
We post this sporadic review so that new readers who arrived just yesterday or earlier this week and subscribed or began following us on twitter or facebook can get a feel for who we are and what interests our readers.
We are happy to report that this month (October 2014) is shaping up to be our biggest month ever (in our over seven year history) in terms of the number of visitors arriving here.
Top Post this past week:
1) Congolese refugee women in America need costly mental health care; 50,000 in the pipeline!
3) Obama “welcomes” 100,000 Haitians to your towns and cities
Here are the Top Ten countries in descending order from which visitors arrived, excluding the US of course which is by far number one:
Canada
UK
Australia
France
Germany
Jamaica
South Africa
New Zealand (new this week)
Sweden
Spain (new this week)
Where to find information if you are arriving here at RRW for the first time (in addition to the fact sheet linked above).
* See our categories (left hand sidebar)
* See the tag clouds (right hand sidebar)
* Also, we have a great search function and since neither the categories nor the tags go all the way back to our first posts seven years ago, use the search window with a few key words. You might want to first try your city, state, or country to see what we have reported from there over the years.
By the way, our category entitled ‘where to find information’ is filled with reports and documents, but with 301 posts archived there, it is pretty unwieldy now.
Past weekly roundups can be found in our category entitled ‘blogging.’
If you are a new reader, consider subscribing or follow us on twitter (@refugeewatcher) or facebook (RefugeeInfoResource). ‘Like us’ on facebook!
And apologies to all who e-mail and comment, sorry if I don’t respond much, there are just not enough hours in my day!
It occurs to me that I do see everyone’s comments to posts because we do screen them (no foul language, no threats), so if you have something you want me to see, I don’t at all mind if you send the link as a comment to a post, even if it’s off-topic.
To regular readers, thank you for your continued concern for this very important issue.
P.S. RRW is a charitable project by its writers. We receive no funding for our good works! If you see an advertisement on RRW, that is something wordpress places in order to at least make something on the fact that this website is free to us.
