Columbus, Ohio: Refugee Gang-Raped in Low-Income Neighborhood

Big surprise, Not!  How many times over the years have I posted on violence against refugees who were placed in bad neighborhoods and substandard housing by the ‘religious charities’ that the US State Department hired to take care of them.

The ‘charities’ will claim in their defense that they don’t have the money to place refugees in better housing which begs the question:

Then why are you advocating for more refugees to be brought to America if you can’t take care of them?

Just the other day I told you about Church World Service‘s subcontractor in Columbus looking for more refugees to be brought to Columbus:

HIAS Tells Supporters—Pressure Biden to Stick to Promise—125,000 Refugees THIS Year

And, I see from the map I published yesterday that the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society has an office in Columbus:

During Trump’s Presidency Many Refugee Agency Affiliates Closed

So either the subcontractor working for Church World Service or the one working for HIAS is responsible for the unhappy Bhutanese refugees’ living conditions!

See HIAS bragging about its work in “welcoming” Columbus!

If you were to challenge them on their responsibility, they would likely say they aren’t responsible after the refugees have been here three months—an outrage in itself—because they are only paid to take care of them (their “clients”) for three months!

The Bhutanese are mostly Hindu and Buddhists and a small percentage are Christians. Peaceful people who you can imagine are targeted by a certain element of city dwellers. Hint! they are not terrorized by white nationalists!  But, the diversity-promoting resettlement agencies apparently figure they can just mix minorities together in ‘melting-pot’ America and everyone will live in multi-cultural Nirvana..

Thanks to a reader for sending me this from The CW Columbus:

After reported rape, refugees say living conditions at Columbus apartment are unsafe

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — After fleeing horrors in their native countries, some refugees in Columbus said their American Dream is turning into a nightmare, in part because of where they live.

Advocates for the Bhutanese/Nepali community said a report of a gang rape at an apartment complex on the northeast side highlights the problems in the neighborhood.

Yolanda Board, with the North Community Counseling Center, serves refugees. Earlier this month, she had to assist a woman who told police she was gang-raped at the apartments.

“This client was barged in on by four individuals, four men, and was subsequently raped and robbed,” Board said.

Board said conditions at the complex, The Commons at Victoria Village, are unsafe and the rape claim is highlighting that.

“We’re aware of years, in excess of a decade of incidents of outright negligence,” she said.

Her group claims there are health and safety issues, including rodents and a lack of proper locks on doors to common areas and apartments.

“Anybody walking off the street can just walk in there, sleep in the hallway, or do whatever,” Board said.

By the way, one subject that has never been fully explored is the connection some federal resettlement contractors have with questionable landlords.

Don’t miss this from the Bhutanese community of Democrat-run Columbus:

NEWS RELEASE                                   JANUARY 26, 2021

BHUTANESE-AMERICAN COMMUNITY CALLS FOR ACTION
TO COMBAT RISING VIOLENT CRIME
AND DEPLORABLE HOUSING CONDITIONS

During Trump’s Presidency Many Refugee Agency Affiliates Closed

I don’t know exactly how many, but I have heard that around 100 offices closed.

The nine contractors*** call them affiliates, but you could also call them subcontractors (I do).  I suspect they don’t like the later word because it then appears that there are lots of bucks moving around, and there are!

As the Obama Administration was ending we had reported that efforts were underway by the US State Department to add as many as 40 new locations for the placement of refugees since the contractors were wearing out their welcome as they overloaded towns and cities with poverty.

Here is a map from the Refugee Processing Center showing where refugees were being placed in 2016.  I know it is hard to read but you can see it enlarged either at the link above at RPC, or use the link under each map.

See that the nine contractors are color-coded and listed in the right hand corner, and note that more than one contractor can have local offices in cities especially eager for more diversity and for more needy people to care for.

We can only assume those cities have run out of their own poor people!

Now here is a map of the locations for refugee resettlement at the time Biden was installed in the White House.

https://www.wrapsnet.org/documents/2290-PRM-FY20-Affiliate-Sites-Large.pdf

You can expect to see a re-opening of some of those offices closed during the Trump years, and pay close attention to local efforts, often by those “Interfaith” political organizations, agitating for new offices.

Frankly, the only way forward now is to work at the local/state level for most of your political activity.

Americans Last!

***For New Readers these are the nine federal refugee contractors who worked to put Biden and Harris in the White House and are lobbying for millions of illegal aliens to be transformed into legal voting citizens, as well as raising the refugee admissions ceiling from 15,000 this year to 125,000.

They are largely paid by you, the taxpayer, for their work of changing America by changing the people, and in so doing, are putting Americans last!

HIAS Tells Supporters—Pressure Biden to Stick to Promise—125,000 Refugees THIS Year

Never mind that we are learning that the refugees already in the United States are suffering during the Chinese virus crisis, losing jobs, being evicted and sometimes not finding enough to eat, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society wants more (to suffer?).

Refugees Struggling in America, Yet Biden Promised 125,000 New Refugees in 2021

125,000 would be the largest number admitted in nearly three decades.

Joe Biden Plans to Admit the Most Refugees in any One Year Since 1992

The web is exploding with stories about Biden and refugees and I am bringing you this one because I thought a comment by one of the resettlement contractors was informative.

It is about Columbus, Ohio activists jumping for joy that more migrants of all stripes will be staying and that Biden will admit more refugees than that mean old (Americans First!) Trump.

But, see what refugee contractor Angie Plummer says about the 125,000 number.

From WOSU Radio:

Columbus Activists Hope President Biden Will Rebuild Refugee Resettlement Programs

After years of cuts and crackdowns under President Trump, immigrants rights activists are hopeful that the Biden administration will mean fewer deportations and a larger number of refugees settling in Columbus and the rest of the country.

“While our local government is very supportive of our work, our overall government funding continues to diminish.” https://www.crisohio.org/newyear2019/

Former President Trump limited the number of refugees admitted to the U.S. to lows of 15,000 a year. During the campaign, President Joe Biden promised to raise that to 125,000.

Angie Plummer, executive director of Community Refugee and Immigration Services, says that number is aspirational.

“The refugee processing pipeline has been severely damaged, there’s a lot that needs to be rebuilt,” Plummer says.

“So we’re not anticipating that huge number, certainly not this fiscal year.”

By the way, Plummer’s organization in Ohio is a subcontractor of Church World Service one of the nine major federal resettlement contractors.***  HIAS is also one of the nine.

See my recent post about CWS.

Christian Groups Push for Mass Amnesty and to Raise Refugee Ceiling to 125,000 this Year

So with Plummer’s words in mind, why is HIAS telling its supporters to pressure Chairman Joe to set a ceiling of 125,000 this year?

It makes no sense to bring in more impoverished refugees as Americans suffer with joblessness due to Covid-19.

Previously I thought that HIAS and the others in the open borders movement simply wanted to add more Socialist leaning voters to the voter rolls as a primary objective, but heck they have now figured out how to win without real voters.

So why do this….

HIAS Hype!

North Dakota: Lutheran Refugee Contractor Closes its Doors

Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, which only a few years ago built its fancy ($$$) new office building, is in financial ruin.

Well that is one less resettlement subcontractor of the hundreds operating around the US that are eagerly awaiting the new flood of refugees Biden and Harris are promising.

Here is the news (welcomed by those North Dakotans who have been strenuously objecting to the placement of more impoverished third worlders into their state).

From the Grand Forks Herald  (hat tip: John):

Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota to close its doors; 283 jobs will be affected

FARGO — Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota CEO and President Bob Otterson told employees in a company-wide video meeting Friday, Jan. 15, that the 102-year-old agency will be closing its doors.

In an emotional exchange, Otterson — who has been in the position for only 45 days — told employees that, due to the heavy drain on resources caused by LSSND’s housing department, the agency could no longer survive. Otterson said the ongoing financial strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic also compounded the agency’s financial difficulties.

Otterson said several LSSND programs will continue, including the Unaccompanied Refugee Minor program and Abound Counseling, but they will no longer be known as part of the agency.

Otterson said that as part of the agency’s controlled liquidation plan, many employees will receive notification that their jobs have ended today, but some staff will continue working for several more weeks to help transition clients to other agencies.

Keep reading, apparently they got out on a financial limb in the housing industry (I’ve never understood the housing industry involvement refugee contractors have gotten into.).

LSSND located in Fargo was the only resettlement contractor in the state. See if you have a contractor working near you: https://www.wrapsnet.org/documents/2290-PRM-FY20-Affiliate-Sites-Large.pdf

The scope of social services LSS offers is broad, including counseling, aid for youth and families, and affordable housing. However, in recent years, the organization is perhaps most often associated with refugee resettlement.

It’s taken criticism over the number of refugees who have come to North Dakota, in recent years in particular.

To learn more about the huge controversy over refugees in North Dakota see my archive on the state.

See LSSND’s most recent IRS Form 990 by clicking here.  Note that in an income stream in that most recent year of $18 million, over $8 million came from government grants (that of course is you, the taxpayers!).

Here is a screenshot of their income page. Be sure to scroll through to see salaries and other expenses.

I never thought of it before, but I wonder if taxpayers in ND can ask for an audit of where all the grant money came from and where it went.

By the way, LSSND was a subcontractor of one of the big nine federal contractors, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.  The US State Department funnels refugees through one of the big nine which in turn funnels federal dollars and refugees to its so-called affiliates (aka subcontractors).

That map above locates the subcontractors and identifies who their motherships are.

For new readers here are the top nine supposed charities that put refugees before American citizens.

Court of Appeals Rules: YOU Have No Say in Whether YOUR Town Will Accept Refugees

And, if you want to have some say, it means you are “unkind” and “un-American” according to Mark Hetfield CEO of the supposed non-profit group HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society).

HIAS is one of the groups which financially benefit from the resettlement of refugees as your tax dollars fund their work of changing America by changing the people.  This is what Hetfield said last year at the time of the lower court ruling against the President.

“An overwhelming majority of governors and municipalities have already expressed their desire to continue welcoming refugees. To those few who have not, we say not only is it unkind and un-American to ban refugees from your states and towns, but it is unlawful.”

Hetfield, his organization and eight other federal contracting groups like HIAS***, have been deciding for decades where the impoverished third worlders we fly into the country will be placed and they want to keep making those decisions.  After all, you are all a bunch of boobs and racists in their minds.

This is not a surprise.  As much as I have been a Trump fan, and as much as I admire his effort to allow local governments and state governments to have a say, his initiative was not well-thought-out. And, he was blind-sided by feckless Republican governors.  In fact, almost all Republican governors thumbed their nose at the President’s offer to give them a say.

Included among those governors who did not back the President were Arizona’s Governor Doug Ducey and South Dakota’s Kristi NoemOnly Gov. Abbott of Texas supported the President.  I believe Kemp (GA) and Desantis (FL) were silent.   (Someone correct me if I am wrong about those last two).

The recent Appeals Court decision ends any hope of consideration for your views about the placement of refugees and you will be back to only using your voice (ha! ha!) as they work to add more impoverished and potentially ill people to your towns and cities.

You really must involve yourselves in local politics!

As the incoming Biden Administration has said, they want to ‘welcome’ 125,000 refugees to America in year one to make up for what they will call the lost Trump years.

Here is CBS from Dallas-Fort Worth:

4th Circuit Upholds Ban On Trump’s Order Allowing States To Refuse Refugees

SAN DIEGO (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — An executive order by President Donald Trump had aimed to give state and local governments the ability to shut out refugees, but the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a ban on the order.

The three-judge panel said the executive order that required both state and local entities to give their consent before allowing refugees to be placed in their areas “would cause inequitable treatment of refugees and undermine the very national consistency that the Refugee Act is designed to protect.”

Read it all here.

Tomorrow Biden/Harris will be coronated and the entire federal government structure will turn to the job of pouring more migrants of all stripes into the American heartland, indeed into every small and medium-sized city from sea to shining sea.

Those migrants, including supposedly “vetted” refugees will need jobs or welfare that will further increase joblessness among already strained citizens in the wake of a worldwide pandemic.  They will also need healthcare as they are not tested in advance for COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

Americans Last!

*** For new readers these are the Progressive groups, some claim they are ‘religious’ charities, that put the wellbeing of refugees and illegal migrants ahead of struggling Americans.

Some of these federal contractors have been busy for four decades changing the demographic make-up of the United States and they are back in power!

Endnote:  I have been busy writing at my other blog Frauds and Crooks about the Great Election steal of 2020 and other issues.  I will be picking up the pace here at RRW as new readers will be arriving as Biden and Harris go into high gear, supported by the entire structure of the federal government, to change America.

I have been writing here since July 2007 (except for the brief period in 2019 when the speech police took me down) and have archived 9,577 posts (so far) on the refugee industry here and abroad.
