I don’t know who Marc Chamot is but this post turned up in my alerts today and I thought it was worth mentioning since I am on a tear about Muslim immigration to the US these days. According to Mr. Chamot it takes three things to come into alignment to create a climate ripe for terrorism on the scale we have been seeing in other parts of the world lately.

He then goes on to site facts and figures about vulnerable countries and points out that the US is still far from having the three elements come together. Since we know that Muslim immigration is increasing in the US and big Muslim families are encouraged, he says we still have that third deterent to terrorism firmly established—we are an armed society.
All it takes is a couple of cars, buses, and train bombings to do the job and even a Mumbai styled attack. There would be a backlash of unprecedented manner in America if attacks of that magnitude were ever to happen here.
“I suppose that there could be dead Muslims carcasses strewn all over the high plains from the East to the West coast. I think they know that, they have families living here; brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, and they fear serious retaliation from the angry armed American population at large.”
