Update April 10th: More tension in St. Cloud, here.
Update March 24th: Robert Spencer warns of trumped up incidents of supposed anti-Muslim bias in Minnesota Schools, here.
Two stories were in my alerts this evening involving St. Cloud, MN. We told you about problems there in January here.
The first story is from UPI. A man has been arrested for making on-line threats against Somalis. He says he was angry about how awful they are to live with in his apartment building.
NEW HOPE, Minn., March 23 (UPI) — A New Hope, Minn., man said he threatened to harm Somalis because he was angry at people in his apartment building, court documents indicate.
James Miller 49, was ordered held Monday on a $50,000 bond on charges of making terroristic threats against those attending a Somali cultural event at St. Cloud State.
The event had been advertised on Craigslist with an admissions price of $10 per person, the St. Cloud (Minn.) Times reported Tuesday.
“I’ll bring my rifle. I’ll gladly pay $10 for target practice,” said a response to the post that police allegedly traced to Miller’s computer.
Miller, who was arrested Friday, allegedly told police he posted the comment because he lives in an apartment building with a large Somali population and was angry with them.
“They have no respect for anyone else in the building,” Miller was quoted as telling police.
The second story is from a Jewish website. Students at a school in St. Cloud openly discuss their feeling of being invaded by Somalis. They say their anger stems from the preferential treatment the Somalis receive.
Adams said his attitude toward Muslim students is also common among many of his classmates. One of those classmates is his friend, 18-year-old Matt Mayavski, who said a few people at the school call themselves “rednecks” on campus. Others make their views known by wearing Confederate flag belt buckles or belts or wearing certain brands of clothing, said Mayavski, a lifelong St. Cloud resident who also went to Technical High School. They flash the Confederate battle flag — an offensive symbol to many blacks — because they believe in small government. They say it has nothing to do with race.
The resentment stems from feeling like Muslim students receive preferential treatment, Mayavski said. “Towards the end of my junior year, I was in math class and the Somalians asked to go pray before lunch,” he said. “Well, I went to ask my teacher for [a prayer break] and [she] sent me down to the office and I got written up for it. And I was like, ‘Well, how can the school respect their religion, but they can’t respect ours?’”
Of course, it’s not all the Somalis’ fault. Who allowed them to come to St. Cloud in the first place? Who allows the Somali students to take a prayer break but denies that option to the White students? And who benefits from all this disruption, both on the surface and behind the scenes?
To answer Matt’s question about how they got to Minnesota, go to this website. One or several of the agencies listed on this page brought them to Minnesota. As for who benefits from all the disruption—the Far Left benefits. This is what Saul Alinsky, Obama’s mentor taught, in order to bring fundamental “change” one must bring crisis and instability to communities. One must pit the “have-nots” against the “haves.” A ‘Norman Rockwell’ like community is not going to want to change, only a community completely destablized will ask the government to take control.
They and others concerned in the St. Cloud area should contact their Congressman and US Senators and ask them to solve the problem because it is they who are ultimately responsible for overseeing what the US State Department is doing with refugees and ultimately where they are located.
For new readers, more Somalis are on the way:
We have learned that 270 Somali illegal aliens who entered the US recently through Mexico are being sought by ICE. The fear is that they are connected to the terrorist group, Al-Shabaab here.
For information on Somali missing youths, American citizens who have gone to Somalia to learn the Jihad trade, some leaving through Mexico, use those search words. We have written dozens of stories on the case. For more on Al-shabaab (sometimes spelled Al-shabab) also use our search function.
The US State Department has admitted over 80,000 Somali refugees to the US (this linked post continues to be one of the most widely read posts we have ever written) in the last 25 years and then in 2008 had to suspend family reunification because widespread immigration fraud was revealed through DNA testing. That specific program has not yet been reopened (that we know of), but will be soon.
Nevertheless, thousands of Somali Muslims continue to be resettled by the State Department as I write this. We recently learned that we will be taking 6000 Somalis this year from one camp in Uganda and as many as 11,000-13,000 total from around the world.
Frustrated and sick of this? Complain here! Do not forget to copy your complaints to your two US Senators and your Congressman (add in your governor and state representatives for good measure).
