Weekly round-up for week ending January 13, 2017

I’m going to make this a quick post because I have too much other important news to write about.
Before I get to the three top posts of the week, I want to talk about facebook.  Truthfully, I never really got into it and so I’m not very savvy about using it and I don’t have enough hours in the day to answer your many comments and inquiries  at my Refugee Resettlement Watch facebook page here.  (Remember it is just me here, this is not an organization and I have no staff).

This is my logo at RRW’s facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RefugeeInfoResource/

I haven’t posted everything I write at that facebook page, but I think I will from now on.  At this point in time, the page has 37,000 likes and a friend posts some additional news items on it.
I believe you can go there and follow me there.
As for my ‘friends,’ I get many requests every day and I will try harder to add you, but I don’t post much on my personal timeline anyway, I post at the page!
And, as I have said many times, I am on twitter (@refugeewatcher) and I tweet often (average around 8 tweets a day).  I place every post I write on twitter plus many other related news items every day (some that you send me, but that I have no time to post on the blog itself).
You can see both my twitter feed in the right hand column here and my facebook page in the left hand column right here on RRW.
Enough of that!

Here are the Top Three Posts of the last week:

Aberdeen update: Efforts abound in South Dakota to keep citizens in the dark about refugees

Rochester, NY: Confirmation that the US State Department has packed the pipeline with refugees in advance of Trump

HUGE! Food stamp fraud bust in Baltimore, check out the names, see a pattern?

Yippee! This time next week, we will have a new America!

Invasion of Europe 2017: Prediction! Invasion will grow as there are too many Africans and not enough jobs

Invasion of Europe news……

Here they come! If you have never read Camp of the Saints, you should! https://www.amazon.com/Camp-Saints-Jean-Raspail/dp/1881780074/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484478174&sr=8-1&keywords=camp+of+saints

Breitbart London published this news early today:

Lack of Jobs in Africa Could Spark Massive Migration to Europe

The economies of the developing world cannot keep pace with an increase in population, meaning millions of people from Africa will likely migrate to Europe, a new report has found.

The report, from the Geneva-based International Labour Organisation (ILO), states that the economies of developing nations in Arica, Asia, and South America cannot keep pace with the number of young people entering the workforce. The result, especially in Africa, will mean that many are ready to migrate and look for jobs elsewhere – and their main target will likely be Europe Die Welt reports.

Don’t get these economic migrants confused with legitimate refugees. They are not, but the open borders movement is going to call them all refugees/asylum seekers!

Economists expect that the number of unemployed in African states will skyrocket, as the slow growth of African economies may only produce a few hundred thousand jobs over the next year. By contrast, the ILO expects there to be millions of young people entering the job market across the African continent.

More here.
The only hope for Europe (and it may be too late) is for countries like France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands to elect leaders who are nationalists!

Minneapolis City Council: Please send Syrian Muslims to our city!

As if they don’t have enough problems with the tens of thousands of Somalis living in Minnesota, the Minneapolis city council passed a resolution yesterday, welcoming Syrians to join the gang in Minneapolis.

Frankly, I’ve wondered why so few Syrians have been sent (by the US State Department) to Minnesota so far and wondered if the DOS was worried that there could possibly be some tensions created with the added diversity in the city where Somalis are king.
Arab Muslims (98% of Syrians entering US right now are Muslim) and black Africans aren’t always the best of friends, and the Syrians will add competition for the same welfare dollars as the Somalis enjoy now.
See screenshot from Wrapsnet.org below showing how many Syrians have been placed in Minnesota.  I went back to FY2012 and only these few are recorded so far (with none in FY 2017 to date).
From Minneapolismn.gov:

The Minneapolis City Council and Mayor Betsy Hodges approved a resolution today supporting the resettlement of Syrian refugees in Minneapolis and calling on other Minnesota communities to support a national effort to resettle the country’s most vulnerable refugees.

The resolution notes that “hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees are making life and death decisions to flee Syria and neighboring countries because they are unable to access shelter, health care, education or protection, and neighboring countries have closed their borders to new arrivals.”

[….]

More than 14,000 Syrian refugees have resettled in the United States since the beginning of the conflict in 2011. The Twin Cities is a leader in welcoming refugees and has resettled more than 12,500 refugees from 40 countries, including Syria, since 2011. [Only 5 from Syria have been placed in Minnesota so far—-ed]

“Minneapolis has long stood as a place of welcome for refugees from throughout the world, including those seeking resettlement from Syria,” said Mayor Betsy Hodges. “Today we restate our City’s commitment to welcome Syrian families to make homes and new lives here.”

None were recorded in the previous three fiscal years. And none have been placed so far in the first three months of FY17.

Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio planning for large refugee influx this year; ID cards for illegals

They believe that Obama’s last proposal, sent to Congress in September 2016, will continue to be operative and that his huge ‘recommendation’ for 110,000 refugees to be admitted this year will be honored by the incoming Trump administration.
Curious to see the last time we admitted more than the astronomical number of 110,000 refugees in one year, I went back to the Office of Refugee Resettlement annual reports and found that we must go back to 1995 (Bill Clinton) to find a year when we brought that many refugees.  It was a year that we admitted over 30,000 Cubans, 30,000 Russians and 30,000 Vietnamese.
Just a few days ago I posted a widely read post about this week as National Migration Week at the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and how much of your money is going to the USCCB.

The USCCB’s migration fund is 97% funded by you! Their ‘work’ is not funded by Catholic parishioners giving their own private money!

Here is a report from Cincinnati, Ohio about one Migration week, ‘welcoming the stranger,’ event. This is how the progressives do it, they declare a special day or week, hold a public relations event and the press shows up to write glowingly.  They are masters at media manipulation (propaganda)! (Emphasis below is mine):

Despite uncertainty and concerns about policies of the incoming Trump administration, programs and agencies helping immigrants and refugees in Greater Cincinnati anticipate more growth in 2017.

The Refugee Resettlement Program of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio, which helped bring in 330 refugees in 2016, will help 450 this year, said Alisa Berry, the agency’s chief operating officer who oversees the program. It resettled 260 refugees in 2015.

alisa-berry
Wishful thinking on Alisa Berry’s part—Obama’s 110,000 refugee plan for FY17 will continue?

“The federal government keeps asking us to help more people,” Berry said. “Demand for services increases every year.”

She was one of five panelists to participate Thursday in an interfaith immigration insights event at Hebrew Union College. About 150 people attended to listen to updates on programs and perspective on a contentious national issue.

The opposition to legal immigration and assistance for undocumented immigrants and refugees helped Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race.

The Thursday event was part of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ National Migration Week and in conjunction with Pope Francis’ World Migrant and Refugee Day, which will be Tuesday.

The United States will accept 110,000 refugees in 2017, a number established by President Barack Obama. Trump has the authority to change the number for 2018. [Trump can change the number in 2017, on day one, will he?—ed]

Refugees arriving in Greater Cincinnati through Catholic Charities are coming from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Bhutan, Syria, Iraq and Myanmar.

Check out what else they are doing through CLINIC (the Catholic Legal Immigration Network), a non-profit organization that depends on millions of your tax dollars too!  They are giving ID cards out to those who have no legal identity in the US.  Who is paying for this? You?

allison-herre
Allison Herre, with CLINIC, is promoting ID cards for those in the country illegally.

In January 2015, immigration attorney Allison Herre started as the local Catholic Charities’ agency director of Legal Immigration Services.

[….]

The event also provided an update on the MARCC ID card, issued by the Metropolitan Area Religious Coalition of Cincinnati and manufactured and distributed by Catholic Charities. It is recognized as legal identification by all city departments, including the police.

[….]

Card supporters say the card will improve public safety by providing people who otherwise do not have an ID card – people returning from prison, the homeless, immigrants, especially those living here without legal documentation.

Herre said her agency continues to advise clients to apply for the MARCC card and file for extensions of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Known as DACA, it was created by an Obama executive order in 2012 to provide status to children brought illegally into the country and who have grown up in the United States. It allows them to apply for driver’s licenses and work permits.

See all of the CLINIC offices operating in your communities, here.
Below is a screenshot of one portion of the government grants received by Catholic Charities of Southwestern Ohio (USASpending.gov).

If all of these Catholic organizations (USCCB, Catholic Charities and CLINIC) operated on truly private charitable giving, then we would have nothing to say about their activities, but it is the fact that they use our money (never report that fact to the public), so they can brag about their Christian charity, that is so offensive to me.

UN organization distributes 10,000 more illegal migrants throughout Europe

Invasion of Europe news……
Update: See how a German teen outsmarts a would-be ‘refugee’ rapist. Sort of related to this story, but I had such a good laugh I wanted to share it right away. Click here.
We need to be paying more attention to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which previously, although funded with government funds, was a separate organization from the United Nations. It became part of the UN just last year (see here).  The US funds a large chunk of IOM, but I have never seriously looked in to how much.

iom-asylum-seekers
This is IOM’s own photo—beware ‘robust’ young men carrying blue and white bags!

Here we learn that they are happy to spread 10,000 of the illegal aliens who arrived in Greece and Italy throughout Europe.  The largest numbers were moved to France, the Netherlands and Germany!

But they are not satisfied with 10,000, they hope to move another 106,000 in the next two years!

What is not clear is if those seeded throughout Europe have even had their asylum claims processed!
So, is it up to the receiving countries to accommodate them and determine if they are legitimate refugees?  If they aren’t legit refugees, then must that country try to deport them?

From an IOM news release today:

Belgium – Over 10,000 asylum seekers have now been relocated from Greece and Italy to other European Union (EU) member states through the EU relocation programme, according to IOM, which is facilitating the operation.

This week, 168 people left Greece for Estonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway and Portugal. Another 81 people were relocated from Italy to Spain. This brings the total number of people relocated under the scheme to 10,189 since its launch in October 2015.

While IOM welcomes the 10,000 milestone and continuing efforts to relocate eligible asylum seekers, it acknowledges that this number is far too low and is calling for a robust push to meet the goals of the two-year programme – the provision of 106,000 places in other EU member states. [They love the word ‘robust,’ look for it in almost any warm and fuzzy story about refugees.—ed]

[….]

France (2,702), the Netherlands (1,216) and Germany (1,099) have received the most asylum seekers to date under the scheme.

[….]

As of 31 December 2016, Syrians comprised the majority of EU relocation beneficiaries (58 percent), followed by Eritreans (27 percent), Iraqis (12 percent) and other nationalities (3 percent).

[….]

Women accounted for 39 percent of those relocated…

I just love it when they think they are so clever by mentioning the number of women.  Does this mean that 61% are males? And, btw, dumb choice of photo for their press release!
