In Sweden, job training program may be ISIS recruitment opportunity

Sigh!  Sweden (apparently using a Marie Harf counter-terrorism job training program) runs into a little problem!  The program is being shut down while authorities investigate if the unemployed ‘refugees’ were being recruited for ISIS.

Someone tell Obama! Takfiris believe in Islam strictly according to their interpretation of Muhammad’s and his companions’ actions and statements, and do not accept any deviation from their path; they reject any reform or change to their interpretation of religion as it was revealed in the time of the prophet. From Press TV:

Sweden has cancelled a job training program for new immigrants following reports that the program coaches were recruiting people for Takfiri terrorist groups.

“We have been alerted by participants that coaches have tried to recruit them to terrorist organizations,” Patrik Svensson, spokesman for Sweden’s National Labor Agency, said on Friday.

Svensson added that the agency had informed Sweden’s security service about the suspicious activities in the training program.

According to the Swedish official, the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group might be behind the recruitment.

The program was initiated in 2010 to tackle the high unemployment rate among new immigrants in Sweden.

Czech Republic: Low turnout for pro-refugee rally

Apparently Amnesty International ginned-up the rally to pressure the government to accept 1,000 Syrian refugees.

Pro-refugee demonstrators in Prague last week.

When you consider that the US plan to resettle 9,000-10,000 has now stalled on news that the FBI says it is virtually impossible to screen Syrian refugees for terrorist connections, 1,000 is a huge number for a small country to screen and absorb.   In fact, the US has taken in only 249 Syrians this fiscal year which is 4 months old, and it is unlikely that, at that rate, even one thousand will be resettled in the US this fiscal year.

From PraguePost.com:

Prague, Feb 20 (ČTK) — About 150 people attended a meeting that was held in the center of Prague in protest against racism and xenophobia and in support of the Czech acceptance of refugees, mainly from the war-afflicted Syria.

The rally, whose motto was Refugees, welcome, was addressed by several speakers who condemned xenophobia and racism. The participants also observed a minute of silence in honour of the killed Syrians who failed to flee their homeland.

The demonstrators then walked through the centre of Prague, carrying banners and chanting slogans.

[….]

The demonstrators were invited to sign a petition launched by Amnesty International and demanding the acceptance of 1,000 Syrian refugees by Prague.

I have to say, it is the most curious thing to me that groups like Amnesty are not criticizing Obama.  Most of the refugee contractors and other Open Borders groups expected the Obama Administration to take more than 10,000 last year.

Malta: Illegal aliens create NGO to push for citizenship, benefits

We have a few posts backlogged from Europe, here is the first one this morning.  Longtime readers know that Malta’s troubles with illegal aliens/economic migrants flooding the tiny island nation for years now is one of our interests here at RRW.

Malta is important as it is experiencing the full force of the out-migration from Africa and it should be important to you (American readers) that the US State Department during the Bush years began to take some of Malta’s illegal aliens as ‘refugees’ to American towns and cities (see for instance this post from last September).  The practice—a perversion of international refugee law—has been continued by the Obama Administration.  The practice surely acts as a pull-factor for more illegals to attempt the Mediterranean crossing.

By the way, I didn’t do a weekly roundup last week, but want to mention here that readers from Malta were 5th in our top ten countries (out of 128 countries from which readers visited RRW).  For our newest readers, you might want to visit our February 13th round-up which contains tips on finding useful information among our over 6,000 posts.

This is an interesting bit of news from the Times of Malta. Looks like the international community organizers are busy:

A new non-governmental organisation has been set up in Malta for Africans by Africans.

The organisation Migrants Association in Malta, is headed by Bushra Fuad, from Sudan.

Although grateful that Malta gave them the possibility of a second chance of life, many were anxious because they did not qualify as refugees or for humanitarian projection and even though they were allowed to stay on in Malta, their rights were basic.

The migrants stated many of them were already integrated with Maltese civil society and they had a permit to work, their paid taxes and national insurance but did not receive benefits when they had no work.

Moreover, they did not get financial support if they suffered an occupational accident.

Our extensive archive on Malta is here.  See especially this one about ISIS threatening to bring chaos to Europe by infiltrating the illegal alien flow toward Italy and Malta.
