I wonder if Malta’s illegal aliens have arrived in Colorado yet?

Last month I told you again that Somalis and other African Muslims are breaking into Europe by taking boats to Malta and asking for asylum.

In this story about our Ambassador to Malta giving a tea-party send-off to a Somali family, the supposedly Somali ‘refugee’ says he is off to Colorado where a lot of black people live.    One of the funny parts about this story (besides the tea party) is that when you look at the photo of the illegal alien with his “new” wife, he doesn’t look Somali.

Greeley and other “welcoming” cities in Colorado, you have more refugees on the way.  And, they didn’t live in camps they came in boats, illegally, to Europe and they are flown to America—airfare thanks to the US taxpayer.

Go here to learn how many Somalis we have taken in the last 25 years.

Swift and Co fires the Somalis—unbelievably brave of them

Update September 12th:  AP does a politically correct story here.

Update an hour later:    TV coverage here.  My observations on the film here.

Update minutes later:  The Tribune in Greeley has a more detailed article on what happened yesterday afternoon when Somali workers were terminated.   The police had to be called in:

About 15 Greeley police officers arrived at the plant, responding to a 3:56 p.m. call from a Swift security guard who said things were “getting out of control” inside the plant, said Greeley Police Chief Jerry Garner, who also went to the plant.

I just got up to the news from the nightowl, Blulitespecial, that Swift has fired 130-150 of the Somali workers who walked off the production line in protest over break times last Friday.    We have reported that there was some sort of violence by the Somalis inside the plant that caused the company to ask for police to be on hand when the workers were let out that evening.

The following day, non-Muslim workers, many of them legal Hispanic workers, protested saying that the “Somalis are running our plant.”

Now comes news that Swift has acted swiftly to fire the trouble makers:

GREELEY — At least 130 Muslim workers at the north Greeley JBS Swift & Co. plant were fired Wednesday afternoon, apparently over a dispute involving breaks during Ramadan.

About 15 Greeley police officers were called to the scene by a Swift security guard as part of the termination. A security guard told police one terminated Swift worker had tried to hit him.

No arrests were made. The worker was escorted off the premises and police remained on the scene for peace-keeping purposes.

A union spokesman says the union will file grievances against the Greeley meatpacking company.

At issue is a request by Muslim workers to be able to take their lunch breaks at sunset to end their fast during Ramadan.

United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 spokesman Manny Gonzales said that between 130 to 150 workers from JBS Swift & Co. had been fired.

I predict the fallout from this brave move by the company will be enormous.  You know there will be a lawsuit and CAIR (and its partner, the EEOC) will be in the middle of it.   And, the town of Greeley, the town that figured so prominantly in the birthing of radical Islam, will have hundreds of unemployed Somalis as citizens—what an honor.   Greeley folks might want to check out Somali gang violence in Seattle.

Just an aside:  I will bet that those same Greeley churches that offended Sayed Qtub in 1950 with their ‘obscene’ dancing are now the churches responsible for resettling the Somalis in Greeley today (along with the US State Department of course).

How many Somalis have been resettled in the US, see my post yesterday here.   On this anniversary of 9/11 be sure to note that we have brought more Shariah-loving Somalis to the US since 9/11 then we did in the twenty years before that fateful day.

Update from Greeley: Talks broke down yesterday

Update September 11th:  Over 100 workers fired!

Negotiations involving disgruntled Somali workers, the Union, and Swift & Co, about break times for Muslim workers during Ramadan, broke down yesterday in this latest news sent from Blulitespecial.

When you go to the article at the Tribune, be sure to watch the film (could this sight be an “honor” to the citizens of Greeley as the paper’s editor said of the Somalis last spring).  Disgruntled workers or revolutionaries?  You decide.

Talks between JBS Swift & Co. officials and Muslim workers seeking prayer breaks during Ramadan broke down Tuesday afternoon and turned into calls of breach of contract.

The roughly 250 workers, who’ve been suspended since walking off the job Friday night, say they will not return to work and may take legal action. They also acknowledge they may face mass terminations.

A mid-afternoon meeting between the Muslim representatives and about 80 of the suspended workers grew heated in a downtown Greeley park when the representatives relayed information to the crowd.

When workers learned the company would not allow break times for prayer, many shouted and crowded around a gazebo from which the representatives spoke. Within 30 minutes, workers split into smaller groups and milled around the park.

[…..]

Upon hearing that news, a group of disgruntled Muslim workers clustered around Isse and said, “No prayer, no work.”

I felt a tiny bit of sympathy here for Swift because as you read this, you can tell a lawsuit is not far off, especially since CAIR must now be involved (note the last section of this article) and in light of the Minnesota decision announced just this morning here.   But, only a tiny bit of sympathy because they brought all this on themselves by not paying wages that would keep good and loyal American workers.   You just know they were rubbing their hands with glee when it dawned on them, however that came about, that these church volags and the US State Department were importing LEGAL foreign labor to their very doorstep.

And, now this is what they have to deal with, “racial tensions” between Africans and Hispanics:

Sam Wantings, a Nigerian who worked for Swift for four months earlier this year, said he saw frequent racial tensions between Latinos and African workers. He said Africans were regularly discriminated against by Latino supervisors.

Once again, the Tribune skates around what kind of violence occured last Friday night when police were called to the parking lot to supervise the Somalis leaving the plant.    Here is how the Tribune earlier fudged the point:

Tymkowych [police spokesman] said police, who responded to the release of workers Friday night, didn’t encounter any vandalism. “If it happened inside (the plant), they didn’t tell us about it,” he said.

The latest article says this of the violence:

… Management blocked restrooms and break areas and that started massive disturbances and conflicts at the plant.”

I hear CAIR swooping in like a big bird.

Muslims will win accommodation everywhere thanks to this precedent setting agreement announced today

A federally mediated agreement in Minnesota, announced today on the eve of 9/11,  will change the workplace environment in favor of Muslim religious accommodation across this land.    Just in the last few days, the controversy  building between Somali workers, other workers and Swift Foods in Greeley, CO now has an assured outcome.  The Somalis (and CAIR) will win the argument—again!

From the Minneapolis Star Tribune today, thanks to one of our many watchful readers:

In a landmark settlement that could change the way Muslims are treated in the workplace, St. Cloud-based Gold’n Plump Inc. has agreed to allow Somali workers short prayer breaks and the right to refuse handling pork at its poultry processing facilities.

The federally mediated agreement is among the first in the nation that requires employers to accommodate the Islamic prayer schedule and the belief, held by many strict Muslims, that the Qur’an prohibits the touching and eating of pork products.

And, note the EEOC (CAIR’s handmaiden) is behind this:

The agreement follows a year-long examination by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and a class-action lawsuit brought in October 2006 on behalf of nine Somali immigrants who worked at Gold’n Plump’s poultry processing plants in Cold Spring, Minn., and Arcadia, Wis.

An EEOC attorney said both sides have reached a settlement in principle.

The settlement will include an undisclosed sum of money for some employees; and some workers may receive new offers of employment at Gold’n Plump.

There are more than 25,000 who refuse to assimilate, thanks to the US State Department:

The settlement could have profound implications for the estimated 25,000 people of Somali descent in Minnesota, who began arriving in the Twin Cities in the late 1970s. Many have insisted on adhering to their traditional religious practices, such as praying five times a day or wearing headscarves, even when they conflict with workplace rules.

Update:   Whew!   Finally here are the numbers I’ve been promising for sometime.

Greeley Tribune in the tank for the Somalis!

Update September 11th:   Over 100 workers fired!

Update September 10th:   Talks break down.

Update:   Here is today’s editorial at the Tribune, they just don’t get it.

Thanks to Patrick at VDARE here is part of the explanation about why the Tribune newspaper in Greeley, CO may be covering up the violence by Somalis at the Swift plant on Friday evening.   The paper editorialized just a few months ago about how great the Somali refugees are for Greeley.    What is that expression people use on the internet about rolling on the floor laughing—well that is me at the moment.

The Somalis, like refugees from varied backgrounds before them, have come to Greeley for the opportunities it offers. Their presence, however, is not just about opportunities for them, it is also an opportunity for all of us. It is an opportunity to grow and expand our world. The essential strength of America is the country’s ability to embrace the best of many cultures.

While the customs that come from half a world away can seem scary, they will — like the customs of the Russian-Germans a century ago — enrich our lives. The Somali, and other East African, refugees that represent Greeley’s first distinct immigration wave of the 21st century are fully documented, legal workers. They deserve all the opportunities they get.

And then this:

We are glad — and honored — that Greeley can give people who have survived so much an excellent place to live.

Read it all here and join me on the floor.

A few minutes later:  I’m not laughing anymore as I contemplate how awful it is that our government (US State Department) joined forces with these giant meat packers to import African Muslim cheap labor.  Then aided and abetted by dhimmi newspaper editors like the one at the Greeley Tribune, our communities will be changed forever.
