Preliminary census data: Whites losing majority in the under 5 age group

WASHINGTON (AP) – For the first time, minorities make up a majority of babies in the U.S., part of a sweeping race change and growing age divide between mostly white, older Americans and predominantly minority youths that could reshape government policies.

Demographers say the numbers provide the clearest confirmation yet of a changing social order, one in which racial and ethnic minorities will become the U.S. majority by midcentury.

Twelve states and the District of Columbia now have white populations below 50 percent among children under age 5 – Hawaii, California, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, Maryland, Georgia, New Jersey, New York and Mississippi. That’s up from six states and the District of Columbia in 2000.

Geert Wilders acquitted! Will not be silenced!

Writing at New English Review, our friend Jerry Gordon reports the good news!

The decision by the Amsterdam District court today acquitting Hon. Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom party (PVV) in the Hague Parliament in The Netherlands is a major victory of free speech and the right to criticize a totalitarian doctrine exploiting the rights of a religion, Islam.

The Freedom Party issued this statement by Wilders:

“I am delighted with this ruling,” says Geert Wilders. “It is a victory, not only for me but for all the Dutch people. Today is a victory for freedom of speech. The Dutch are still allowed to speak critically about islam, and resistance against islamisation is not a crime. I have spoken, I speak and I shall continue to speak.”

Sheriff of the year: Why more US troops on Korean border than on US border?

(CNSNews.com) – Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu said the Obama administration’s decision to extend the deployment of 1,200 U.S. National Guard troops along the U.S. border with Mexico until Sept. 30 is “pandering” and that those numbers “fall far short” of what military power is needed to keep the country safe.

Babeu noted, for comparison, the 28,500 U.S. troops stationed in South Korea to help defend it against North Korean aggression; U.S. troops have been stationed in South Korea for 58 years.

Babeu is the sheriff of Pinal County in southern Arizona and is on the frontlines against illegal immigration, human traffickers, drug smugglers, and potential terrorists. He was named the 2011 National Sheriff of the Year by the National Sheriff’s Association on Sunday, June 19.

“What are we doing?” Babeu told CNSNews.com by telephone. “We need 6,000 armed soldiers on our border to protect America. Homeland Security starts at home.” He was talking about the National Guard.

Minneapolis Somalis demand answers from FBI

I’ve been procrastinating on posting this story for a few days mostly because I’m sick of hearing about it—that is, the story about the poor Somali “kids” recruited to join the jihad in Somalia.  I’m sick of the ‘we are the victims’ talk from the families of the ungrateful youths who had been granted a shot at the American Dream and basically said ‘s**** you,’ I’m going to Africa to be a jihadist!’

So here we have one more whine-fest from the families who want answers to what happened to their “kids.”  You see, it’s now all our fault that they didn’t watch their “kids” closely enough.

Nearly three years ago, a Minneapolis man blew himself up oceans away in Somalia.

His death put Minnesota at the heart of a still unfolding multinational counterterrorism probe that has seen 20 Minnesotans indicted on terror-related charges, at least another nine killed in fighting overseas and a handful more arrested and convicted. Others have been charged with fundraising or wiring money to a terror group in Somalia, and one of the men charged is scheduled to go on trial next month — a first in the case.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder visited Minneapolis last month to reaffirm his office’s commitment to rooting out those responsible for the recruiting of young Somali-Americans to return to Africa to fight for the terrorist group Al-Shabab.

Yet investigators appear no closer to unmasking a leader of the nebulous network that found foot soldiers in the Twin Cities.

The FBI’s failure so far to publicly uncover a mastermind has spawned disillusionment among some in the local Somali community who wonder when, if ever, justice will be served.

“They know the big recruiters. The government knows everything,” said Abdirizak Bihi, whose teenage nephew is believed to have been killed in Somalia in 2009 after joining Al-Shabab, which U.S. officials say is affiliated with Al-Qaida.

“Someone organized this group,” said Dr. Abdirahman D. Mohamed, a local physician and community leader. “The fact that we can’t find those key individuals two years-plus, that has created a lot of people saying, ‘What’s going on here?'”

For New Readers!  Stories like this one always bring new readers to RRW and you should know that the US State Department brings in thousands of Somalis every year as refugees.  Groups like Catholic Charities, the Hebrew Immigrant Aide Society, Church World Service and World Relief (among others) are paid with your tax dollars to resettle them in your towns.

We have admitted well over 100,000 Somali refugees to the US.   To check out the numbers visit this post, one of our most widely read posts over the last few years.   In FY2010 which ended September 30th the US State Department resettled 4,884 Somalis (here) to towns near you.  The “teen” would-be bomber in Oregon was one of the refugees.

Also, after being closed for nearly two years, the US State Department is on the verge (has been on the verge for months and months!)  of resuming the fraud-ridden family reunification program that admitted as many as 36,000 Somalis fraudulently to the US between 2003 and 2008.  See the latest on new regulations, here.

Now, also, Somalis are coming illegally across our borders and ironically asking for asylum because of the radical Islamic Jihadists (including Americans!) in Africa.
