But, we won’t be sunning in some warm climate! I’ll be at a conference in St. Louis to speak about the refugee program and won’t be posting. I’ll report on the event when I return on Sunday.
I’m telling you this so that you know if you don’t see your comments posted, or you’ve e-mailed me and get no response, you know why!
On the e-mails generally, I get hundreds every day and only have time to look at a few, so please accept my apologies if you write and don’t hear from me even when I am here. I don’t know how to solve that problem unless I get a staff (or even an intern!) somehow.
If you are arriving here for the first time, please spend some time searching our site for news you could use. We have over 6,000 posts and the best way to find something is to start with your city, state, or country name in the search bar. Also, have a look at our categories and our tags for topics of interest. See last week’s ’round-up’for more tips on finding information here.
I’m hoping that this opportunity in St. Louis will be the beginning of a national grassroots initiative that addresses the US Refugee Admissions Program and its much-needed reform!
This is an article the Washington Post ran last Saturday that I am just getting around to mentioning. I didn’t even read it for a couple of days figuring it would be the usual mainstream media slam of “rightwingers” and “Islamophobes,” but check this out. Right in the middle of the article is a section (below) which asks how can this be that second and third generation Muslim immigrants aren’t “assimilating?”
Could it possibly be that the Muslim immigrants, having reached critical mass, are more interested in advancing Islam than they are in acquiring the trappings of the ‘good (material) life?’
As the movement has grown, tens of thousands of Germans also have risen up to condemn Pegida, taking to the streets in counter-demonstrations that have often been far larger that the anti-Islamic, anti-immigrant rallies they are opposing. Yet the Pegida movement has seemed to tap into a hidden vein of German angst.
Not assimilating!
Some here are worried not only about the new asylum seekers, but also about the growing numbers of other migrants entering Europe’s largest and strongest economy. Equally vexing to many is the lack of assimilation among a significant number of Muslim immigrants, some of whom came to Germany decades ago. Last September, for example, Germans were outraged after a stunt in the city of Wuppertal in which 11 devout Muslims wearing the words “Sharia Police”on bright orange vests approached Turkish nightclubs and cafes and warned young partygoers that they were violating Islamic law by drinking.
Such fears have surfaced as security concerns are mounting in Germany and across Europe over the threat of homegrown terror. As in France, hundreds of radicalized young Germans — many of them the second- and third-generation sons and daughters of Muslim immigrants — have left to fight with extremists in Syria and Iraq.
“How is it possible that parallel societies are forming in Germany?” Pegida spokeswoman Kathrin Oertel said on German TV last week. “That Islamic judges have the right to administer justice, and that Islamic schools are inciting hatred against German citizens?”
It is because Islam and the advancement of the Caliphate is stronger and infinitely more important than anything (jobs, nice homes, fashionable clothes) Germany can offer! Get it!
And, it goes on because most Western governments are chicken!

Could it be that the government is slow because they have a better idea of who these people are than Emma Thompson does? Or, how many more poor people the economy can afford?
Speaking of who these people are, check out the list below of those “celebrities” who signed the letter to David Cameron (who are these people?).
And, more importantly how many refugees are they housing in their luxury homes?
This story is a couple of days old, but wanted to be sure to post it before I leave town tomorrow. By the way, if my alerts are any guide they got a lot of ink for the latest publicity stunt.
LONDON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – A star-studded list of UK celebrities from Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson, to musician Sting and designer Vivienne Westwood wrote to Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday, criticizing the government for not welcoming more Syrian refugees.
[….]
“Resettling ‘several hundred people’ just isn’t good enough for a global leader. This issue isn’t about migration statistics or party politics, it’s about people. It’s about the values that we in Britain hold dear; compassion and humanity.”
Other celebrities who lent their support were actresses Vanessa Redgrave, Juliet Stevenson and Michelle Dockery, artist Grayson Perry, and film directors Ken Loach and Stephen Frears. Television presenters Michael Palin and Dan Snow and fashion designer Bella Freud also signed the letter.

Editor: This is another excellent news analysis from ‘Pungentpeppers’ who reports that there is more to come regarding this dreadful ‘diversity is beautiful’ alert….
A HI-TECH AFGHAN-AMERICAN CRIME: Police in California have arrested Qayed Murtaza Shareef, 39, the CEO of a technology company. Shareef allegedly engaged in ‘sexually explicit conversations’ with a pair of 9- and 10-year-old boys in Virginia, using an online texting application called Tango.
Shareef pretended to be a teenaged boy named “Jeremy Stevens”. He acted like a film director and told the boys what sex acts he wanted them to perform with each other while he was photographing and videotaping them through a tablet they were using. He also shared adult pornography with the boys, including demonstrations of his own sexual performances.
“He basically just started it off, ‘Hey what’s your age?’ And within an hour, took it sexual,” said prosecutor Vanessa Woods. “He sent photos and videos of himself, as well as pornographic videos.”
Authorities say the 39-year-old then gave instructions to the boys to record each other and to him send the photos and videos.
“He was very specifically asking them to do various sexual positions, acts, show sexual body parts,” Woods said.
Prosecutors say the crimes allegedly started Christmas Day 2013 and lasted four days. Investigators discovered 30 different videos of sex acts after being contacted by the boy’s mother.
The mother of one of the boys found the messages when she checked the tablet on December 30, 2013. She then notified police in Virginia. Because of the complexity of the case, requiring multiple subpoenas, the investigation took almost a year. If convicted, Shareef faces a maximum sentence of 752 years to life in state prison. He is being held on $2 million bail. There are likely more victims yet to be identified. Anyone with information should contact Orange County investigators at the Patch link below.
THE PERPETRATOR: Born in Afghanistan, Qayed Shareef had achieved the American Dream. He arrived in the U.S. with his mother and brother when he was eleven years old. They were refugees fleeing from one of Afghanistan’s many wars. His father, who was a fighter, stayed behind. Once in California, Shareef learned to speak English with barely a trace of an accent. He became an expert in internet media advertising and technology and worked his way up to be the CEO of Adaptive Media, a publicly traded corporation he founded based in Irvine, California. He also married and became a father. He has since been terminated from his job.
“BACHA BAZI”: Growing up in Afghan society, Shareef must have witnessed Bacha Bazi – if he wasn’t a victim of it himself. “Bacha Bazi” means “Boy Play” and it is pervasive and deeply rooted in Afghanistan’s tribal culture where women are taboo and must remain hidden. Bacha Bazi is sometimes portrayed as men acting something like our “drag queens”, but Afghan style, and they dance at parties. That’s a whitewash of the insidious and sinister nature of Bacha Bazi.
Young boys become drawn into the play acting – and much more than dancing is involved. Usually the boys are poor and vulnerable in some way. Perhaps Shareef, with an absent father, fell into the trap.
The boys who are abused are generally between the ages of 8 and 16 – or the ages of Shareef’s victims. They are forced to dress like women, dance like women, and perform sexually in the place of women. Once they mature and their beards starts to grow, they are expected to switch roles and start acting like men. Often they themselves go on to obtain their own boys to abuse, and thus continue the cycle. Commonly, a newly-matured former boy marries the daughter of his own abuser, in order that the father could maintain his sexual relationship with him.
“As a culture that has repeatedly allowed the victimisation of young men by their elders, and turned survivors into abusers, Afghanistan has unleashed multiple generations of predators and traumatised young men.”[See “Hand Covers Bruise …” Link below.]
At least one of those Afghan predators found his way to Australia. …… To Be Continued.
Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily today reports on the locations where Syrian (mostly Muslim) refugees will be resettling in America. Some of his news might not be new to regular readers of RRW (he quotes us), but he includes a long section on the plight of the Syrian Christians which I did not know much about.
Here is his introduction to the report entitled, Secret planting of up to 75,000 Syrian Muslims begins in U.S.:
“Up to 10,000 Syrian refugees, most of them Muslims, will be resettled in cities throughout the U.S. in 2015, with that figure expected to surge to near 75,000 over the next five years.
While some of the planned destinations for these refugees are starting to leak out, the big question is: where will they be going?
The U.S. State Department does not announce where it plans to send foreign refugees for resettlement within the United States, although the locations do eventually show up in a government database some weeks after they arrive in their host cities. Word of their anticipated arrivals will sometimes surface earlier in local media reports.
And that’s already happening in North Dakota, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio and Washington.”
I urge you to read it all. WND is one of the only national news outlets that tells the public who the federal resettlement contractors are that operate in 180 cities across America. See our archive, here, of other reports from WND.
