Church Militant TV blasts US Bishops for aiding “party of death”

If you are a Catholic, or not! and are upset about the US Conference of Catholic Bishops with self-serving hands in the federal treasury, consider helping Church Militant TV spread its message.

Michael Voris, founder of Church Militant TV

A reader sent me this 9 minute video posted ten days ago in which Michael Voris lays out the Democratic Party’s plan to turn Texas from red state to blue state by causing the immigrant population of the state to explode.  (And, don’t give me that garbage about how they can’t vote—yes, they can and they are—illegally).

Voris says Texas is “ground zero” for ensuring a permanent Democrat in the White House.  The bishops want more Hispanic parishioners (to replace Americans leaving the church in droves) and Obama and the Democrats want more Leftwing voters.  He says that the cozying-up of the bishops and Obama has got to stop.

Watch it!

What a relief to know that there are Catholics pushing back against the money-grubbing US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

We probably have a hundred posts on the USCCB, click here to browse our archives.

Springfield, Mass: Somali family of 12 gets new housing

And, I guess this is what Jeb Bush meant when he said immigrants are more fertile!  #ActOfLove?

The family has “grown exponentially!”

This is an update of earlier stories about one more case that caused the Mayor of Springfield to beg for a moratorium  on refugees resettled to the immigrant-overloaded city.

The landlord (of course) gets all the blame for the bugs and squalor authorities discovered earlier this year.

Here is the latest from MassLive (hat tip: ‘pungentpeppers’):

SPRINGFIELD – A large family of Somali refugees have a new home in the city after being driven from an apartment on Union Street in May by roaches, bedbugs, darkness and overcrowding. [Darkness because they didn’t pay the electric bill!—ed]

The family,
which includes 12 children, was living at 515 Union St. when one of the older children called police in May because their electricity had been shut off for days. City housing officials were notified and found “heavy infestations” of roaches and bedbugs, plus noting the house was far too small to accommodate the family, which had grown exponentially since they moved in.

The issue also revived the controversy in the city over managing the influx of Somali refugees since 2003. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno has repeatedly called for a moratorium on new placements, arguing the families tax the city’s housing and school systems and don’t receive the proper long-term supports.

The city condemned the apartment; property manager David Sims was hauled into Springfield Housing Court and the family was temporarily relocated to a hotel shelter in Greenfield. However, lawyers for Sims and the family reached an agreement on Tuesday to move the family to a duplex at 185-187 Northampton Ave., which has been cleared by city inspectors, according to Lisa DeSousa, a lawyer for the city.

Family members Haji Mamo, his wife, Habiba Said and sister-in-law Sitey Said were in court Tuesday, and sorted out the agreement with the help of a Somali interpreter in a closed-door meeting.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2013/06/14/jeb-bush-u-s-economy-needs-immigrants-because-theyre-more-fertile/

The family also filed a demand for nearly $133,000 in monetary claims with the housing court. The complaint contends they should get abatements for rent, nearly $10,000 in “homeless damages,” and treble damages near $83,000 because of the conditions of the Union Street apartment.

Daniel D. Kelly, a lawyer for Sims, denies the allegations in the complaint including that Sims willfully ignored code violations and deliberately impaired the health and well-being of family members.

“It was a combination of problems that came about very quickly.

[….]

Sims said the family was much smaller when he originally rented the apartment to them.

We will be watching what happens with their new house!

Also, for more reading pleasure, we have been following Springfield for several years, click here, for that archive.

Endnote:  It’s interesting to watch the “pockets of resistance” grow in cities that were originally “welcoming” and now are becoming overloaded with needy migrants (legal and illegal).  It is a matter of numbers—a few migrants needing services kind of go under the radar until a tipping point is reached for the taxpayers. Cases like this one break into the news causing citizens to finally say, ‘whoa!’ what is going on here?  But, at that point it is usually too late for the community because the contractors are bringing in the relatives of the first seed population and anyone who complains is immediately labeled a xenophobic, racist, bigoted boob! and the complainers scurry for cover.  I don’t know how this will all end.

Lutherans: “The children are a gift” and we need a second lobbyist in Washington to make sure the gift keeps giving

Linda Hartke, CEO of one of the largest quasi-government agencies*** resettling refugees and illegal aliens around the country—the Baltimore-based Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service—continues to lecture us about how we need to “welcome” the children, here yesterday in the Salt Lake Tribune while receiving at least 97% of their funding from the US taxpayer (Hartke makes over $214,000 in salary and benefits).   See 2012 Form 990, here.

Update:  Be sure to see the responses to the Salt Lake Tribune op-ed, especially from the commenter ‘Bioethike.

Read Hartke’s blog to keep up with all the Washington DC lobbying action by LIRS. http://blog.lirs.org/we-need-your-voice-today-urge-congress-to-protect-unaccompanied-children-and-refugees/

However, 2012 is going to look pathetic compared to 2014 when they received a windfall of over $18 million so far for ‘unaccompanied alien children’ services.

Check out their recent grants here (one subcategory of  grants includes something called ‘fingerprinting and foster care’).  And, please note that they were getting Office of Refugee Resettlement grants in as early as 2009 for the ‘unaccompanied alien children’ (probably before that too, but this database only goes back to 2009).

Since they are booming in business generated by Washington, they are looking for a second advocate (aka lobbyist) to keep the migrants coming and the taxpayer money flowing.   And, they now have to compete with big dogs, like that Baptist gang out of Texas which also has Washington lobbyists.

I sure hope for their sake that when they hire lobbyists they don’t use any federal grants and contract money for that purpose because that is illegal.

Yesterday reader Bob sent me this advertisement for a job in the Lutherans’ lobbying office.  Be sure to read about the “duties.”

How can we, average taxpaying American citizens with no lobbyists, compete with this?

Baptist contractor for illegal aliens gives Baptists generally a bad name

Lobbies to get a bigger piece of the action.

I suppose you could say that the new leading “Christian” charity/federal contractor hired by ORR to care for the “chiiildruuun” isn’t really made up of  Baptists at all, they are just pretending to be so they can wear that ‘do-gooder’  white hat.

If I were of the Baptist faith, I’d be distancing myself from this bunch pretty quick.

Today the Daily Caller revealed that Baptist Child and Family Services (BCFS) is lobbying for its taxpayer-supplied moolah and may not have reported that fact properly on it’s tax returns.

The other contractors*** lobby as well, but they skirt along the edges of the law by doing grassroots lobbying and hiring Washington “representatives” which is legal I suppose, but ethically stinks.   They all have developed networks of activists who will respond to action alerts by calling or otherwise contacting their elected Washington Representatives and testifying in Congress when appealing for more money and more refugees.

In fact, that (organize grassroots) is all those Tea Party groups that the IRS has cheated were asking for the right to do—but there is one big difference!   Unlike these contractors masquerading as Christian charities (and one Jewish charity) that receive almost their entire budgets from the US Treasury, the Tea Party groups receive no funding from the taxpayer.

That is what is so maddening!  The “humanitarian” hustlers are using your money to lobby for more of your money!  There ought to be a law!

BCFS apparently doesn’t have any grassroots, so they hire lobbying firms to get their (big) piece of the pie.

From the Daily Caller:

A Texas-based organization that has been awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in federal contracts by the Obama administration to house illegal immigrant children not only lobbied the federal government, but also failed to properly disclose the activity.

After The Daily Caller inquired about its lobbying disclosures, BCFS, a San Antonio-based nonprofit, now says it may correct its tax forms to properly disclose its lobbying expenditures.

The Obama administration, through the Department of Health and Human Services, has tapped BCFS, formerly known as Baptist Child & Family Services, to provide security and other services to unaccompanied children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, and Ft. Sill army base near Lawton, Okla.

BCFS has become the largest provider of such services for the child immigrants, who are part of a massive influx of mostly Central Americans that has put the Obama administration on its heels…

[….]

HHS has given BCFS $280 million in federal contracts for its services so far this year. Nearly all of that — $270 million — has been given for services for unaccompanied children. HHS has given BCFS $458 million in total, according to the Tracking Accountability in Government Grants System.

According to the Senate lobbying database, BCFS is the only organization that provides residential services directly for unaccompanied children that has spent money on lobbying.

Since 2006, BCFS has spent $210,000, according to a database maintained by the Center for Responsive Politics.

ORR: 30,340 ‘unaccompanied minors’ already placed this year

Obama brings the Sanctuary Movement to full flower!

Thanks to reader Susan for sending us this list of how many of the illegal alien children have already been placed in your state in 2014 alone!

Former Catholic nun Darlene Nicgorski seeing her ‘work’ continued by Barack Obama. http://blogs.libraries.claremont.edu/sc/2012/07/darlene-nicgorski-papers.html

From the Office of Refugee Resettlement:

Once the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) receives a child from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), we have the responsibility to continuously seek placement options in the child’s best interest. This typically involves releasing children to sponsors. Sponsors are adults who can suitably provide for the child’s physical and mental well-being and have not engaged in any activity that would indicate a potential risk to the child.

We try to place the child with a parent, and if that is not possible, with a relative, and if that is not possible, with a family friend.

Here (below) are the top ten states where the “children” have been sent to join “sponsors.”   These are not the “children” being housed in bulk in various places around the US.  Those were identified here.

Are your school districts ready?

Darlene Nicgorski’s legacy—the Sanctuary Movement is alive and well (legal and paid for by you!).

I suspect these numbers reflect the population of Central Americans in certain states.  For example, Maryland has a huge number of Salvadorans (and other Central Americans) who got here through the Sanctuary Movement in the 1980’s.  Additionally, Maryland has the well-established illegal alien advocacy and support group—Casa de Maryland—which grew out of the Sanctuary Movement*** and is now getting government grants to help support the illegals (including the “children”) arriving in the state.

Texas:  4,280

New York:  3,347

Florida:  3,181

California:  3,150

Virginia:  2,234

Maryland:  2,205

New Jersey:  1,504

North Carolina:  1,191

Georgia:  1,154

Louisiana:  1,071

*** I encourage you to read one of several posts (and follow links) at RRW about the roots of the Central American invasion of the US that the Left calls the Sanctuary Movement.    Chicago Catholics (Saul Alinsky got his start among them) were at the heart of the movement and today Obama is finishing their work — work that began when he was a pothead college student, not interested in much other than getting high.

Remember!  The Left (Progressives, Socialists, Communists) never rest….

Here is one paragraph from my August 2011 post.

The good Catholic nun and her friends took it upon themselves to break the law and get them across the border.   I would recommend that readers with an interest in this topic read, ‘God and Caesar at the Rio Grande’ by Hillary Cunningham for more on the Religious Left and Liberation theology and how they justified breaking the law and planting the seeds of unrest we have in many American cities with the huge illegal alien population today.

Our now very extensive archive on the ‘unaccompanied minors’ invasion is here.
