Welcoming Communities Campaign announced by White House, government goodies for your "welcoming" town

Update October 8th:  Reader Greg sends us this update post from Welcoming America (see it for more cities).
I missed this White House news last month, so thanks to reader Greg for sending it.  And, note to Miranda Blue, here, who seems to think I am making this all up—-that Obama is diversifying your towns and cities and using government goodies to do it!

This is about changing America by changing the people!

Go here to learn more about Welcoming America, which I first mentioned on these pages in June 2013.  By the way, they have long since taken down the discussion on their site about how they got Soros seed money.  Obama’s Task Force on New Americans is here.
Be sure to see also—Obama, big smooch for Lubell, here.

Lubell’s Welcoming America began first in Tennessee as Welcoming Tennessee and with the help of seed money from George Soros expanded to become a national organization and a federal contractor (they get $$$ from the Office of Refugee Resettlement).  They ‘community organize’ to push back where ‘Pockets of Resistance’ form.

From Welcoming America:

The White House today launched the Building Welcoming Communities Campaign, accelerating the growing movement of communities that are becoming more prosperous by embracing immigrants and fostering opportunity for all. Launched during National Welcoming Week, the Campaign is part of a broader package of announcements made by the White House Task Force on New Americans.

Already, 40 early acceptor US cities and counties have already signed on to the campaign, from Pittsburgh to Boise, Atlanta to Detroit. The groups include cities and counties big and small from across the country.

The campaign will help better connect federal resources with local communities in order to expand immigrant integration efforts. It calls on local communities to commit to and act on a set of principles that focus on building inclusive communities that enable all residents to thrive, while advancing immigrant civic, linguistic and economic integration.

Said Welcoming America Executive Director David Lubell, “Communities across the country are already recognizing that they gain an economic edge and invigorate their communities when they create environments where everyone can participate and thrive. We applaud the White House and the New Americans Taskforce for this major boost to the movement of Welcoming communities during National Welcoming Week, and look forward to supporting the federal taskforce and communities in this effort because we know it will help jumpstart economic growth and vitality.”

In November 2014, President Obama created the White House Task Force on New Americans which in April released a federal strategic action plan, Strengthening Communities by Welcoming All Residents: A Federal Strategic Action Plan on Immigrant & Refugee Integration. The Building Welcoming Communities Campaign is a key element of this action plan and the federal government’s strategy to support immigrant integration. As part of this campaign, federal agencies will be leveraging their resources in support of communities to help foster greater civic, economic and linguistic participation. [“Leveraging resources” is code for giving your tax dollars to local governments who toe-the-line on diversifying your town—ed]

Participating communities will also demonstrate their progress along a Welcoming Communities Roadmap, and depending on their level of commitment, will be assisted through a public private partnership which will offer technical assistance and support from federal agencies, as well as from national non-governmental partners led by Welcoming America. The initial national partners for the campaign include National Skills Coalition, NALEO, Cisneros Center for New Americans, World Education Services – Global Talent Bridge, IMPRINT, Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, Partnership for a New American Economy, World Education, YMCA of the USA, NCLR, and the National Partnership for New Americans.

Japan wants to (wisely) preserve its distinctive culture by limiting refugees

They give generously to humanitarian causes around the world, but do not want to dilute their culture by admitting refugees.  We have written many times on Japan, but once again as the Syrians are invading Europe, the Japanese are being called unwelcoming.

Japanese people
Resisting the one-worlders! So tell me why Japan doesn’t have the right to protect its own sovereignty, culture and race?

From  USA Today:

TOKYO — It came as no surprise when Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced a major increase in financial support last week for migrants flooding into Western Europe — but no change in his country’s restrictive policy toward those seeking refuge in Japan.

For decades, Japan has been one of biggest contributors to international relief organizations, spending billions of dollars to help people fleeing wars, poverty and natural disasters worldwide.

Yet Japan also has been one of the least welcoming nations to refugees. Of 5,000 foreigners who requested political asylum in Japan last year, only 11 were granted safe haven, an acceptance rate that is 1/100th of the world average.

By comparison, the United States granted asylum to nearly 70% of 63,000 people who applied last year.

Refugee advocates say Japan’s reluctance to accept asylum seekers stems from a combination of factors: geographic isolation, language and cultural barriers, and a historical wariness of foreigners and a lack of interest in foreign affairs.

Somali rejected!

In one case cited by Watanabe, a Somali man’s asylum application was rejected after immigration officials concluded that while the man’s father and brother were murdered by al-Shabab terrorists, the rest of his family was not murdered and the asylum seeker remained in Somalia for several months before fleeing. The reviewing officer concluded: “We do not find that you have fear of being persecuted required by the refugee convention.”  [I’ll bet a buck that the Somali asylum seeker couldn’t even prove that his father and brother were killed by al-Shabab!—ed]

There is more, continue reading here.

For American readers, just so you know, as the UNHCR is sending Somalis back to Somalia from its Kenyan camps we admitted 8,858 Somalis to the US in FY2015, here (many from the Kenyan camps!).

Is your church doing a "Crop Walk," if so you are funding Church World Service, a federal refugee resettlement contractor

Crop walkJust so you know, 75% of the money you raise locally from your church’s “Crop Walk” goes into the coffers of one of nine wealthy federal resettlement contractors–Church World Service.
Here is a story from Red Bank, NJ about a local “Crop Walk.”  So there are no poor hungry American people left in NJ to walk for?
Find a walk near you. See if your church is participating, here.

A great honor has come my way! Called out AGAIN by Right Wing Watch

Here (below) is what they say about me, and they got it right!  They quoted me accurately and by snipping the interview, they made me sound more articulate!

“Obama is changing America by changing the people!”

Although they mean to jeer about what I say, I am so thrilled to have this information get out to an even wider circle.  Thank you Right Wing Watch!

 Thank you Miranda Blue!

(By the way, I see my little youtube is now at almost 1.7 million views! Ms. Blue will you help it reach 2 million people!)

Update August 2020!  Wow! Haven’t looked back but that video is now over 3.6 million views!

Here is Right Wing Watch (emphasis is mine):

Ann Corcoran, the head of Refugee Resettlement Watch and the leading voice against efforts to settle refugees in the United States, warned last month that President Obama is using Syrian refugees as part of his plot to “diversify every town in America” as he goes about “changing America by changing the people, literally.”

Corcoran, who has previously warned that refugee resettlement is being used to “rub diversity in the noses of conservative communities” and push “the whole multicultural meme,” told the Center for Security Policy’s Frank Gaffney on his “Secure Freedom Radio” program, “There’s going to be a demographic examination of your town to see how diverse you are, and you will be rewarded if you’re sufficiently diverse and you will be not rewarded with government grants and so on and so forth if you’re insufficient in the diversity area. It is really, he is changing America by changing the people, literally.”

Gaffney shared Corcoran’s concerns, saying that Obama “was about the fundamental transformation of America, and a key element of that strategy, it certainly seems, through the refugee resettlement and other techniques … has been to change the population, change the demographics of our society.”

Continue here.

Right Wing Watch previously mentioned me here (only 3 times so far).  Go here and have fun looking at who else makes the news there.

Right Wing Watch is a project of ‘People for the American Way,‘ one of many of George Soros’ pet projects. ***Update*** More on People for the American Way was just brought to my attention, here.

Next!  I will reach the pinnacle of my career if the Southern Poverty Law Center lists me on their ‘haters’ list….

Addendum:  Have you been noticed by Right Wing Watch, if so, consider it an honor.  If you or your group haven’t been mentioned yet, that is a goal to work toward!  Please let us know if you have joined this august body!

And thanks to reader Robin for letting me know that the Southern Poverty Law Center does mention me several times: here and here (they say “people take me seriously” imagine that!).

Update: Who was that man over Senator Blumenthal's left shoulder?

Yesterday we told you that Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) is leading the charge to lessen the security screening for Syrian and other Middle Eastern refugees and he wants to expand the so-called P-3 (fraud ridden!) family reunification program.
See yesterday’s post by clicking here.

That is CAIR-Connecticut’s Executive Director behind Senator Blumenthal. Getting pretty brazen aren’t they, or is Blumenthal just pretty dense to invite CAIR to be so prominently involved in lessening security screening for refugees?

Now we know the answer to the question I asked all of you to help answer.  Looming over Blumenthal’s shoulder is none other than Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)- Connecticut director Mongi Dhaouadi.
(When I mentioned to a friend that I had updated my post with that information (thanks to Kyle), she suggested I write a second post because as a subscriber, who received the earlier one, she would not see the update.)
But it is worth mentioning again because this is now the second time we have seen CAIR involving itself directly in the Syrian (mostly Muslim) resettlement issue (and you can bet they are not advocating for the persecuted Syrian Christians).
Clearly their interest is in boosting the Muslim population in the US.
CAIR was here in the St. Louis ‘Bring them here march’ last month.
Here is Mr. Dhaouadi’s bio at CAIR’s website:

Mongi Dhaouadi
Executive Director

Mongi S. Dhaouadi was born and raised in Tunisia. He moved to the US when he was 19 years old and studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As The Executive director of CAIR-CT, he conducts civil rights workshops throughout the state of Connecticut under the title “Know Your Rights.” Also, he leads several workshops and discussions on Islamophobia and the Muslim experience before and after 9/11. He has participated in and led several media campaigns and press conferences on issues concerning the Muslim community ranging from discrimination cases to advocating for the change of racial profiling laws in the state of Connecticut. Dhaouadi was featured in countless local, national, and international media outlets including NPR, FOX News, and Democracy Now with Amy Goodman. During the summer, he runs a youth internship program during which high school and college students work on several projects ranging from preparing a toolkit on Islamic cultural competency for schools, to writing and publishing articles from a Muslim youth perspective in the local papers and publications. Dhaouadi leads a Connecticut delegation at the Capitol Hill visits; an event that is organized every year by CAIR National, where members of the Muslim community visit their representatives in Wasington, DC and advocate for issues of concern domestic and foreign. Prior to joining CAIR-CT on a full time bases Dhaouadi was the Head Administrator at SKF Academy in Hamden Connecticut. Dhaouadi is married with three children: ages 11, 14 and 18. He lives with his family in New London, Connecticut. His favorite past time is playing or coaching soccer.

So far Connecticut doesn’t get very many refugees compared to other states.  I guess Blumenthal and Dhaouadi would like to change that.  Go to this map and have a look!
Is CAIR getting into the refugee resettlement program where you live?  Let me know.  And, while you are at it, see if you notice the involvement of Islamic Relief (USA) as well.
Go here to find the regional offices of Islamic Relief (USA) thanks to reader Cathy.
