Kentucky: Could the invasion on the border result in fewer refugees admitted to US?

Update July 4th:  They are crying for more money in Arizona now too! (Hat tip: Joanne).  Too many ‘unaccompanied minors’ siphoning off money for other refugees.  Someone commented to me yesterday, that the open borders pushers (including the Catholic Bishops!) may have over-played their hand this time.

That (fewer refugees) is what a spokesman for Kentucky Refugee Ministries told WFPL News in Louisville earlier this week (Influx of Young Refugees Pinches Kentucky Refugee Services’ Budget).

Or, more likely this is the opening salvo in a lobbying campaign in Congress (by the contractors) to get more of your taxpayer dollars to keep the thousands of Iraqis, Burmese, and Somalis, etc. flowing to middle America.   Thanks to all who sent this article.

Muslim refugee Mustafa allegedly embezzled money from Kentucky Refugee Ministries—is this what they mean by balancing the city? https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/06/01/kentucky-again-muslim-refugee-rips-off-his-resettlement-agency-but-that-is-not-the-whole-story/

WFPL News:

An increase of undocumented children coming into America is expected to reduce the funding for services available to displaced people living in Kentucky and across the U.S.

Kentucky Office for Refugees officials expect to see a $2.28 million cut in federal funding to provide refugees in Kentucky with services such as English language learning, career development and housing placement.

The reduction in funding stems from an influx of children coming to the U.S. to escape violence and economic struggle in Central America, refugee services officials said. To better serve these children, the Office for Refugee Resettlement is transferring nearly $94 million to the Unaccompanied Alien Children program. The $2.28 million Kentucky officials expect to lose is a part of the $94 million transfer.

Because of the cuts, thousands of newly arrived refugees would receive a limited amount of these services that aid in creating a seamless transfer to life in America, according to a statement released by Catholic Charities of Louisville.

There is nothing to stop these contractors from RAISING PRIVATE MONEY to do their supposedly charitable work!  They could ask their parishioners for money and hold bake sales!

When the original 1980 Refugee Act was pushed through Congress by Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden and signed into law by Jimmy Carter, there was no discussion of making these ‘religious’ charities quasi-government agencies as they have now become with the majority of their funding coming from you—the US taxpayers.

WFPL continued:

But if the cuts create such a problem that services cannot be provided, a smaller number of refugees may be brought to the United States, Koehlinger [Director of Kentucky Refugee Ministries] added.

[….]

More than 2,100 refugees relocated to Louisville in the 2013 fiscal year, according to data provided by Catholic Charities of Louisville. In 2014, the number is expected to remain about the same.

[….]

Koehlinger said the strong refugee population in Louisville is vital for a productive, balanced metropolitan area.

What the heck is a “balanced” metropolitan area?  Is that like in Rochester where resettlement contractors dropped off the docile Bhutanese into an African American neighborhood (see our post yesterday on the consequences for the refugees when the do-gooders do their multi-culty mixing experiments)?

See our extensive archive on Kentucky ( here).  They have had some humdinger problems with refugees there.  Mustafa was just the latest most visible problem!  (BTW, he took down his facebook photo and other juicy tidbits about where he has been for the last number of years right after we published the information).

One last thing!  Don’t cry for the contractors, most have largely been responsible for encouraging the invasion of the border because they are being paid to take care of the “children” too!

Get ready for it! Hollywood making a refugee resettlement movie

It will be a heartwarming story about a white girl (Reese Witherspoon) helping Sudanese refugee ‘Lost Boys’ making it in America.

The plucky white girl—-Reese Witherspoon

You gotta laugh sometimes!

Here one commenter (of several) sums it up this way!  (Hat tip: whuptdue)

J: White people helping po’ black people! Ain’t those white people got great big hearts?!

Thanks Hollywood.

Watch for the refugee contractors using the film for star-studded galas (fundraisers!).  “The Good Lie” will be out in theaters on October 3rd.

‘The Lie’ will surely get an Oscar nomination because turning it down would make Hollywood look racist!

Unaccompanied minors swamp Lynn, Mass.; no help from feds says mayor

This story is a week old (trying desperately to catch up!), but figured most of you haven’t seen it.

We previously heard from Mayor Judith Kennedy in 2011 when she begged for the US State Department and the contractors to stop sending refugees to Lynn, here.

Once your town has been tagged as “welcoming” there will be no stopping the flow!

From The Salem News (hat tip: ‘pungentpeppers’):

LYNN — An influx of children from Central America immigrating to the United States without their parents is frustrating officials in this gritty city nearly 2,200 miles from the Mexican border.

In the past two years, Lynn has seen waves of unaccompanied minors settle here after crossing the U.S.-Mexican border illegally, city officials say. Most are teenage boys from Guatemala who speak little or no English when they arrive, and they have little or no documentation.

“We have become a major haven for immigration,” said Mayor Judy Kennedy. “But with all these new people come needs: police, fire and city services. And we’re getting no help from the federal government.”

Don’t believe the feds when they tell you the costs will be borne by US taxpayers and not local ones!

Read it all.

See our complete archive of posts on ‘unaccompanied minors’ (aka illegal alien teenagers).

By the way, do you see our category called “community destabilization?”  We set that up years ago to catalog all of the cases where we have identified this Alinsky (Obama, Cloward-Piven) strategy—-destabilizing communities is what this is all about.  That category now has 480 posts in it and they are much much closer to pushing America over the edge.

Did you see this?  Congressman Louie Gohmert said this week that the US will become a third world nation.

OK Congressman denied access to Ft. Sill where 1,200 unaccompanied minors are being held

From 100percentfedtup  (hat tip: Cathy):

Congressman Bridenstine said, “There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held. Any Member of Congress should have the legal authority to visit a federal youth detention facility without waiting three weeks.”

Congressman’s entry blocked. Who is paying the security guards?

The Health and Human Services (HHS) official who appears to be in charge of the facility, told Congressman Bridenstine he could schedule an appointment for July 21. HHS Deputy Director of the Office of Public Affairs, Ken Wolfe, would not take the Congressman’s phone call. The Congressman was told to send Mr. Wolfe an email as that was the preferred method of communication. Congressman Bridenstine’s email to Mr. Wolfe included this press release.

“After my visit today with the base commander, I approached the barracks where the children are housed. A new fence has been erected by HHS, completely surrounding the barracks and covered with material to totally obscure the view. Every gate is chained closed.

Are they coming to your town next?

Find out by calling your state’s refugee coordinator.  Go here for the complete list.

Is Albany, NY Rep. Paul Tonko welcoming the “children?” Sure sounds like it!

Update:  Tonko’s Republican challenger is making the issue a campaign issue, see the story here.

He sure isn’t criticizing the idea of bringing hundreds of illegal alien teenagers to Albany.  Does he think like Obama that America needs the “dreamer” kids?  Story hat tip: Laurence.

Rep. Tonko: Strengthen NY communities by bringing in hundreds of Central American teenaged boys?

Meanwhile we note that another federal refugee contractor*** has its hand in the federal till!

From NBC News10.com:

According to Paul Tonko, the Department of Health and Human Service is looking at many places across the country to house the children that cross the border without adults. There are a few places benig reviewed to house the children One of which, is the old Doane Stuart School building, located on Southern Boulevard in Albany.

[….]

“Initial reaction is that these children are escaping violence because of humanitarian efforts of this nation which I think has been our hallmark, to be humanitarian in response to, in this case, children,” said Tonko.

[….]

Tonko says other sites in New York State are also being investigated. However, he stresses funding will come from the federal level and not come from the state.  [Yeh right! No cost to the state!—ed]

Previously most federal contracts for caring for the “unaccompanied minors” went to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and to the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.  Recently we saw that Church World Service is in on the action and now we see USCRIs (US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants) hand in the federal till too!

All of the contractors were lobbying for ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ (S.744) so as to obtain more immigrant ‘clients’ and thus federal grants, but since they aren’t getting that windfall, they will get this one!

NBC News10.com continued:

Stacie Blake, with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants says the main concern is safe place to put the children with access to immigration hearings and an airport.

Something her office knows a lot about.

“Our interest is seeing and hearing these interests upheld because we are learning of these very disturbing reports off these most vulnerable children,” she said.

Upstate New York appears to be a prime target for relocating the “children” away from the border.
